Disney celebration buttons are a fun and personalized way to commemorate special occasions while visiting the parks. Better yet, they’re a FREE little souvenir! These buttons are available in a variety of designs to celebrate various milestones at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Here’s a breakdown of what you need to know:
Types of Celebration Buttons
- First Visit
- Birthday
- I’m Celebrating
- Happily Ever After
While “First Visit” and “Birthday” are self-explanatory, the “Happily Ever After” is appropriate for any couple celebrating a recent wedding, engagement, honeymoon, anniversary, or vow renewals. “I’m Celebrating” can commemorate just about anything from retirement, recovery, a new baby, a new job, graduation, or anything that’s important to you! (In my case: Disneyland’s spicy pickles.) There is space at the bottom of each button where a Cast Member can write in your customization.
Benefits of Wearing a Celebration Button
Beyond the freebie itself, there are no official perks associated with wearing a celebration button. If you’re wearing one, you’ll likely receive a few shout-outs from nearby Cast Members, and maybe spark additional interactions during any character encounters.
While this shouldn’t be expected, sometimes wearing a celebration button leads to small magical moments, such as a free dessert at a table-service meal. There are no guarantees, but it’s a nice surprise when it happens!
Where to Find Celebration Buttons
You can find celebration buttons all around Disney’s parks and resorts. Just kindly ask a Cast Member at:
- Guest Services
- Resort Front Desk
- Most Merchandise Locations
- Most Dining Locations (especially table-service restaurants)
Overall, these buttons are a great way to add a bit of extra magic to your trip and make your celebrations – big or small – even more memorable.
