How to do a 7 Day Land/Sea Disney Cruise Package
One of the most popular options for guests considering a Disney Cruise Line vacation is adding a stay at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, either before or after the cruise.
Years ago, Disney offered a seamless package for guests to enjoy both Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line in one vacation with no hiccups. Disney ended this program, and now guests must plan each step of this process. That includes Disney theme park tickets, dining, resort stay, choosing a cruise, picking a stateroom, and transfers between Walt Disney World, the port, and to the airport. This is a critical reason to consider working with a travel agent. It's important to note that if you book your vacation directly with Disney Cruise Line, and want to add a pre or post stay at Walt Disney World, they will be happy to do that. However, this comes with some drawbacks. First, the price you’ll be quoted for that room will be at rack rate (full price). You will not be able to apply any discounts. In addition, if you want to add a ticket to this, the ticket must be a park-hopper ticket (which isn’t always the best option for your traveling party). So, in short, you can do this with Disney, but you’re going to pay top dollar. (Also, Disney Cruise Line isn’t going to give you a shipboard credit – a nice perk when you book with Dreams Unlimited Travel).
The benefits of this 'all-inclusive' vacation are evident. Your resort stay with tickets includes unlimited admission to the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios for the number of days on the tickets. Next comes your Disney cruise, which includes all of your meals and entertainment while aboard the ship.
The ports of call on the three and four-night cruises are Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay (Disney's private island). The 4-night cruise includes a day at sea where you can enjoy the onboard activities. The 5-night cruise consists of a stop at either Key West, Florida or another day at Disney's Castaway Cay.
The 7-night Disney Magic and Fantasy Cruises are either an Eastern or Western Caribbean cruise. The ports of call for the 7-night Western Caribbean cruise are Key West, Florida, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Castaway Cay. The ports of call for the 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruise are St. Maarten, St. Thomas (with port adventures to St. John), and Castaway Cay.
When Disney first launched its Cruise Line, the three and four-night cruises were the only options available to guests. The experience was so fantastic that the number one guest comment after these cruises were for a more extended cruise. Even though Disney has a 7-night cruise, the three and four-night cruises continue to be very popular.
These three and four-night Disney cruises are especially ideal for those cruising for the first time.
