- Overall Impression: I really enjoyed the stay at AKL-Kidani, but the literal half-mile walk to our room at the end of long days was a bit much. I'd bear that in mind before booking again. Park heavy visits, likely not. Lazy, enjoy the resort & the surrounding Orlando/Central FL area? Possible.

- Overall Impression: Our room as of 4:15 was still not ready and so I went to the lobby when we arrived and had them check for me. Apparently I wasn't the only one. I do know it is the weekend before Thanksgiving...but. The cast member quickly called to check and told me it would be ready within 20 minutes. So we drove over to the parking garage and by the time we parked I got a notification it was ready. I will also say my husband is handicapped and can only use the tub. Since there are no individual toiletries it was difficult and I had to pump shampoo and soap into a glass from the shower to give him to use. I only let that go on one day and asked a cast member if they had any spare shampoos and soaps, though I knew they had phased them out they brought me a huge bag of everything shampoo, conditioner, soaps and lotions! As far as cleanliness goes there was dust on the bathroom mirror and some dings in the paint but overall was clean.

- Overall Impression: Kidani suffers from a lack of staff across the board. Not enough people at the front desk, parking attendants were not readily available to park cars and I had to get my own luggage cart after waiting a half an hour with no one showing up. I finally went down to bell services and I was told it would be a bit longer for my luggage to be brought up at which time I told them I would do it myself. Kidani is a gorgeous resort but these items did put a damper on my stay.

Rooms on the higher floors offer a pretty view, but not a great view of the animals because they are hiding under the trees. Completely understandable. Next time I would ask for a refurbished room on a lower floor. We were not blown away. So we likely won't try this resort again for some time.

- Overall Impression: Disney resorts are great but parks are getting too busy and the amount of time that must be put into planning park days is getting to be too much. I think at our age of 58, my wife and I will be using our DVC for relaxed resort only stays in years to come. I would sooner spend money on nice meals at the resorts or Disney Springs than hectic days in the park.

- Overall Impression: Kidani Villas is beautiful and there is so much rich history and detail to explore from the decor to the savanna. The cast members are wonderful, friendly, helpful and seemed very proud to be working at the resort. Aside from the never ending hallway to our room and our breakfast QS snafu, the positives of this resort strongly out weigh the negative. We will definitely return for a future vacation.

- Overall Impression: I should mention that we did have a few hiccups during our stay. VERY small things like pack n' plays and high chairs not being in the room at check in. The front desk told us we had to request them (we did) but we have never been to any DVC resort before without them being in the closets at check-in, even without requesting them. We had a small issue with the phone and quickly found out if one phone is off the hook ANYWHERE in the grand villa, none of them will work. One of the TVs didn't work. Our toaster was bent and almost caught on fire during first use! The mold/mildew, but it's Florida, so there's that. My suitcase was cracked in half (we used magical express so I hadn't seen it since we checked it in New Jersey, so that very well could have been the airport/airline's fault). We were given some misinformation by an AKL cast member about the time for check-in for moonlight magic at the resort that set us back an hour. That was probably the most frustrating! All that being said, we visited or called the front desk and every issue was resolved within hours and sometimes minutes of our reporting! We even experienced some pixie dust! When one of the cast members learned some of our party was sick for the first few days of the trip they gave us some bonus fast passes and added hoppers to our base tickets so we could really take advantage of our remaining days in the parks. It was overall a great experience at AKL and like I said, you really can't beat the views!

I only wish we could afford to stay here more frequently.

- Overall Impression: One of it favorite resorts. This was our second time in a 2 bedroom Savannah View and it just feels so much more spacious(which I believe it is in sq ft). Hi won’t get this experience anywhere else lee you travel in the US for sure!

- Overall Impression: We stayed in Kidani for our honeymoon. It was Awesome all around. We are planning our next 10 day trip and will be staying in Jambo house early next year.

- Overall Impression: Did not receive any notifications regarding room assignment so arrived at hotel around 3:15-3:30 and was told a room had been assigned. Able to access right away and it was in a great location near community hall which our kids loved. All cast members were very friendly and helpful. Resort theming is fantastic. Room was in great condition and nothing was missing. Received full cleaning and turn-down service on day 3, which I think was due to us "checking out" from a rented points stay and "checking in" (to the same room) on our own dvc points stay. Savannah view was terrific. Lots of fun activities for kids to do around both Kidani and Jambo, which was great because unfortunately it was a little too cold for us for swimming. Disappointed that we didn't get to enjoy the pool areas much due to weather and also that Kidani slide was closed for refurb at the time. Hard to beat food options between Sanaa, Boma, Jiko, and Mara. Only complaint for me, as someone who has been spoiled by being within walking distance of a park and/or having access via monorail, ferry, or now skyliner, bus transportation can be a bit of a hassle at times (esp with two littles who still need in-room naps!). Overall though, thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would not hesitate to book again.

- Overall Impression: Kidani Village rooms are lovely; view is great. But the rooms are too far from the lobby (which we never visited after check-in) for older guests. If we had not rented electric scooters we would have been unable to navigate anywhere, even from the elevator to our room. As much as we enjoyed our stay, we will not stay at Kidani Village again.

- Overall Impression: It’s a wonderful resort and I really enjoy it but location is key and unless you’re planning multiple days at Animal Kingdom it’s very easy for the transportation issues to wear you down especially the anxiety in the morning and the long ride back at night. It also makes it tougher to pop back to the hotel for a midday break.

- Overall Impression: You do ALOT of walking. It is a savannah so it is understood due to all the animals and the shape of the hotel. I would recommend requesting a room close to the lobby so you do not need to walk to get to your room after a LONG day. All transportation, food, and recreation you have to get to you need to go to the lobby. Give yourself at LEAST 15 minutes of walking time from your room to the lobby especially if you are furthest away from the Lobby rooms. Disney also changed their policy on Credit Cards. BE AWARE OF THIS.... We needed to reset our Magic Bands with our card of choice over 5 TIMES!!!! Because our limit was "reached." they cap this at 100.00 an automated hold on your Credit Card. If you go over this, and you do not have enough money to spend it automatically declines your magic bands.

- Overall Impression: It's a great resort. I hope next time I can get a room at Jambo house. I would suggest a car or Lyft for transportation to Epcot and DHS if you are trying to rope drop daily; MK and AK are probably faster with the bus.

We had visited 5 resorts during our stay (including a one bedroom theme park view at Bay Lake!) and she picked this resort as her favorite. You just cannot beat that savanna view and relaxing vibe.

- Overall Impression: I have stayed at this resort in the main hotel not the villas twice before. Love the villas although pricey. Totally miss Jiko and Boma. When we were here with the grandchildren, they insisted upon eating at the Mara for most meals.

- Overall Impression: Overall this is a great resort(if you secure a good location). Twice now we have requested near lobby and elevator and have been granted these locations. If not then you are in for a long, long hallway walk and I am sure this will effect ones opinion of the great resort. I do wish there was a better or quicker way to get to Jambo House for the added restaurants but I just do not see how that is possible...ºoº.
