Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort opened on March 1, 1996. This resort is located on South Carolina's magnificent Hilton Head Island at the southernmost tip of the state. This resort is situated on a 15-acre property and is full of Southern charm and hospitality.
Hilton Head Island and the surrounding area offers a whopping 52 golf courses; 32 of those courses are open to public play. The Resort is within close proximity to most of them and guests looking for additional information and pricing should inquire at the front desk.
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort is comprised of 21 studios (all lock-off), 21 one-bedroom villas (all lock-off), 76 dedicated two-bedroom villas, and 5 three-bedroom villas. There are no dedicated studios or one-bedroom villas at this resort. It is also important to note that there are no ground entry villas due to building codes and villas in Live Oak Lodge are the only ones on the property that have elevator access.

- Campfire: Join cast members for on select evenings for singing, story-telling, and marshmallow roasting.
- Goofy Bingo: Disney style bingo
- Movies Under the Oaks: Watch classic Disney movies at the outdoor movie theatre under the stars.
- Fishing and Crabbing: Head out to the resort pier on Broad Creek and check out the local sea life. Fishing gear and crab nets can be rented at the resort.
- White Sandy Beaches: A shuttle to the beach is available for guests of the Resort.
- Community Hall: This game room has a variety of board games, crafts, and card games for the whole family to enjoy.
- Disney's Beach House: Relax and watch a game at Surfmen's Station or play video games in the Big Buoy Arcade.
- DVD Rentals: A large selection of movies is available to DVC Members for in-room viewing.
- Little Dipper and Big Dipper Pools: At the 72,000-gallon heated Big Dipper, find the wraparound Water Tower Slide and a whirlpool spa. Water-spitting frogs and whimsical features can be enjoyed by the younger kids at the Little Dipper Pool.

- Kids Night In: The recreation team offers 3 hours of supervised child care (for children ages 5-12) complete with games, activites, and it even includes pizza for dinner.
- Gyotaku: Child(ren) ages 5 and up can learn the ancient Japanese art of ‘fish rubbing’ and they’ll get to take home a uniquly painted t-shirt.
- Mickey Tie Dye: Child(ren) ages 8 and up can create a colorful one-of-a-kind tie-dye t-shirt with Mickey in the middle.

Most folks fly into Savannah (45 miles). The other option is the Hilton Head Island Airport which is a bit more limited. (5 miles).
