• (2/5) Room available very late.


• (2/5) We arrived at SSR directly from a DCL cruise. We asked for early check-in and were told we would be notified b4 4pm on the MDE app. After returning to the resort from the park after 6pm, we had to once again go to Guest Services to inquire as to why we still hadn't heard anything. We did receive a $100 credit for the inconvenience but that's not the point, nor the first time we've had trouble getting a room assignment thru the online notification system.

• (3/5) Online check-in was easy. However, finding our room was not. Because of the construction, we could not find numbers on some of the buildings. We walked around, with our luggage, for almost 20 minutes, and up three flights of stairs in the wrong building, trying to find our room. We finally walked through some construction areas and found our building. If we had stayed before, we probably would have known where to go, but it was our first time at Saratoga and we had no clue. It would be awesome if they had a map of the rooms on the app.

• (4/5) I didn't speak to anyone or request any type of room, we did mobile check in and the room was ready at 10:21!! That was very exciting!


• (5/5) We arrived right at checkin time and while there was a line, it moved quickly, the cast members were attentive, and the atmosphere was lovely


• (4/5) We did split stay and had a few questions, but the CM at the desk answered them all. She had a very heavy accent so while the process went smoothly, she was tough to understand.

We took the magical bus to the resort and went to check in, and because of the delay we were upgraded from a preferred studio to a two bedroom vacation home. We were very surprised and very thankful.

• (2/5) Check in cast member was not very friendly or informative. We got there late due to a rain storm the plane was delayed. So by the time we got to Saratoga Springs in was between 10:30pm and 11:00pm and we were exhausted. We told him we were there with our daughters celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Dead silence. I had to ask him for the celebration buttons. We found out later in our trip we could have order something special sent to our room. I wish he told us. We haven't been to Disney World since 2012 but we went every year from 2006 trough 2012 staying at moderate resorts. Since this was a very special occasion, we wanted to do a deluxe villa. In the past we have never come across a bad cast member. We didn't even know one existed until that night of check in. A couple days into our trip we noticed everyone with their refillable mugs so once again we go to the main lobby and get the same cast member. He said he didn't know where to get the mugs and we should go "over there" and ask them in the food court. Again, not very nice. All he had to do is say, let me check on that for you. All the other cast members that night and through the whole trip were absolutely amazing just as we had remembered.

• (5/5) We used online check-in and received our room number in the late afternoon. All magic bands worked perfectly and we had no issues with anything else related to check-in.


• (5/5) I checked in online for the first time since we were arriving late and received a room in the section we requested. Also went to the check in desk when we arrived to ask a few questions and the cast member was very helpful.

• (5/5) My family I and we’re originally supposed to stay at Caribbean Beach for Spring Break. However, when we were on the Magical Express, my Aunt got a call and was asked if we would like to get an upgrade to stay at Saratoga. I was so shocked and excited! I’ve stayed at Saratoga before but my Aunt and Grandfather hadn’t. Concierge was extremely nice when we arrived at Caribbean Beach about the resort change and everything was done smoothly. When we arrived at Saratoga, the cast members working at concierge knew what was going on and we were treated very nicely. It was like if we were actual DVC members staying at the resort.


• (5/5) My wife and I arrived around 10AM. We already had a text message telling us where our room would be, but wasn't ready yet. That way we could park near our assigned room.


• (5/5) I checked in online. My room was ready when I arrived and the magic band worked. Bell service staff transported me and luggage to my room.


• (5/5) We checked in online and our room was ready pretty early so we extremely satisfied We did see if any rooms in the Paddock area had been completed with a refurbishment but nothing.


• (3/5) I arrived in FL after 5 but my room number was unavailable on MDE, and when I called they said my room was not ready. So, I was unable to go straight to my room. When I arrived at the front desk a very nice CM found me an available room. Even though I had made room requests she did not see them on my reservation. She was able to find me a room in my desired section.

• (5/5) We were a part of a group in which someone's DVC points were paying for our room We had no wait time and everything was correct. They even double checked our information with the coinciding reservations just to be sure we were on the right track.

• (5/5) We arrived at the resort early - around 11 am. I did online check in, but friends that were traveling with us had to go to the front desk to get their magic bands. While we were in the lobby area waiting for them a cast member approached us and asked if we were waiting to check in. I said no, but mentioned that my brother had received a text that his room was not ready yet. I had not received any texts or emails about my room. She checked the computer and found that text messages had not been enabled and fixed it. A couple hours later I got the text that my room was ready!

• (5/5) We had 2 preferred studios books and requested first floor rooms in the Springs near the pool/main building over the phone. When we got the text notice our room was ready, we had been booked in Congress Park in the farthest building from Disney Springs. When we arrived at the resort, the Cast Member at the check-in desk was able to move us to first floor rooms in the Springs a few doors away from each other. We were perfectly happy with this arrangement since we were traveling with adults only. Cast member was very courteous and resolved the issue quickly.

• (1/5) Check-in was supposed to be 4:00 pm. At 4:00 we were told our room was not ready and it would be about 10 minutes. We went to the pool to hang out for a bit. At 5:30 we checked at the front desk because we did not get a text. We were told it would be about 10 minutes and they would text us when our room was ready. We asked to speak to a manager and the CM helping us said she was the manager. She explained to us that they were having issues with a misunderstanding with the cleaning staff. She told us that our room was put on a priority list at this point she offered us fast passes. We told her we just wanted our room. We went to EPCOT at at 7:00 we finally got a text that our room was ready. I understand things happen, but tell me ahead of time that there is an issue. Don't keep telling me it will be 10 minutes.

• (5/5) Checked in online but needed to pick up our Magic Bands at concierge. Check in was a breeze. Got our text room was ready and headed there after swimming.

• (2/5) It was late when we arrived and did not know where we were going. Even though the room was ready, we were dropped off at the main lobby. We were told we could take a shuttle that would be provided. The shuttle process took 45 minutes to complete.

• (2/5) As a DVC ember, my wife called in advance to try to get our group in the same area and an early check-in. However 4 of our group were at Paddock and we were in congress park. The two got in about 4PM and we did not get notified that our room was available until after 5PM. Why, it is not like management did not know we were there at 11AM. We understand rooms don't need to be available until after 3 PM. Also the floor in the shower was very slick, please consider shower mats and a safety grab bars be installed in the showers. The room was very clean and comfortable.

• (5/5) Took the red eye from Utah and arrived at 6:00 AM. Our return flight had changed so we needed to notify reception to change our scheduled magical express. That was smooth and easy. The CM then said she check to see if a room was ready for us since we were already there. She got us a room in congress park, which was our room request. It was so nice to be able to go and take a "nap" and get settled in our room. We had planned on just hanging out in the public areas around the resort and possibly heading to Disney Springs to kill time until our room was ready. We didn't really want to do that though, since we were tired from the red eye. Being able to go straight to our room was so nice. And we didn't even have to ask. The CM just took it upon herself to take care of us.

On our first night, the lady checking guest out in the store, loved my son's toy story shirt and gave him a free slap bracelet with toy story characters on it. One morning during breakfast my son was given a free cupcake. Everyone was friendly and helpful to us.


• (5/5) The cat members all around the resort where great. The front desk person was great when we went up to pay our balance with a gift card. They refunded what had already been put on our card. There was someone who seemed like management walking around the pool and she got some bandages for a blister a member of our party had gotten. One member of our party is autistic and loves pin trading the cast members with the pin board in artist palate were wonderful with her.

• (5/5) All the other cast members - simply amazing everywhere we went. We had a grocery order from INSTACART and the shopper left our eggs out all day instead of refrigerating them. Bell services told us and insisted on delivering a fresh dozen of eggs at no charge, from the food court in the main building and they did. We did not expect that. We were stunned and grateful.

We went to to the pool from 11-1 and come back to our 2 Bedroom only to find the twin bedroom , washroom, entrance way, kitchen and some of the dining/living area flooded as a result of the dishwasher or laundry leaking from a grand villa upstairs. They had to bring de humidifiers and fans in at 3 so there was no napping for our two young grandchildren who needed it due to such a late arrival. After confirming that it would not be dried, we were told that there were no other rooms. After a visit to the front desk, a very concerning concierge cast member found us a room within an hour. Such a wasted day

• (5/5) We did not have many interactions with cast members but when we did they were very helpful. We needed extra blankets and they were brought very promptly after calling. We went to the front desk twice, once with a question and once to get help with a mobile order charge error. Saw the same cast member each time and he was very helpful in resolving the issue.

• (5/5) When we had our resort change to Saratoga, my family and I were treated like DVC members at the resort while we were originally supposed to stay at Caribbean Beach (moderate). When my family and I wanted to take the boat over to Disney Springs from the resort, it was a difficult walk from our room to the boat for my grandfather. We called the front desk to see if someone can drive us over and they did! There was so issue and the cast member who drove us to the boat was willing to drive us to Disney Springs instead of us taking the boat. The cast members and service was AMAZING!

• (5/5) I recognized the cast member from checking in over the summer. She was a fellow Ohioan! She was pleasant to talk to and even tried to throw some pixie dust our way but the resort (I believe) was to full to accommodate.


• (4/5) Bell services was very friendly and helpful when taking us to our treehouse. He showed us around the treehouse area and how to get to bus stops, pool and boat dock.


• (4/5) For the most part every cast member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Bell services could use some work. We ordered groceries from Instacart. My bother got the message that they had been delivered to bell services. He contacted bell services to arrange for them to bring the groceries to my room. They told him it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour which was completely understandable since this was around 4 pm. I’m sure they were busy with check ins and delivering bags from ME. After waiting an hour and a half my brother called them again and explained we had to leave the room in a half hour to make our dinner reservation at Sci Fi Dine in Theater. They told him that if the groceries weren’t in the room by then to call back and they would call over to the restaurant to have them hold our reservation. Half hour later and they still were not there. This time my mom called bell services and they told her that we should go to our reservation and call back when we came back to the room. We ended up ordering a Lyft so we could get to Hollywood Studios in time for our reservation. We called when we got back from HS and they finally got our groceries to us.


• (5/5) We did have the daily trash service and we received our Trash & Towel service on day 4. All the cast members we encountered were warm and friendly and seemed willing to help with any requests.


• (5/5) Check In cast members were polite and friendly and gave us extra fast passes for the late check in issue. One of the bellman was outstanding. Extremely funny and super nice. Gave us all a ride to our rooms in a golf cart & pointed out all of the amenities along the way while also telling jokes & giving us tips for how to make the most of our plans we talked about. Seemed like we had been friends for years. The quick service / artist palette manager seemed like he literally lived there as we saw him first thing in the morning and often our last stop of the niggt he would be closing up. Very friendly and courteous and always asked if there was anything he could do to make our visit better even when just refilling drink mugs.

• (5/5) I only interacted with CMs a couple of times, but all of them were stellar. One of them noticed it was raining, led me to the main lobby building, and held the door open for me. The others were at the gift shop, where they were very helpful and kind.

Also had the pleasure of meeting with the GM Bill on Friday night discussing hopes of reopening more of the resort and the new paint colors being painted outside the artist’s palette Also nice touch by bell services bringing us by cart to edge of SSR property to Disney Springs


• (5/5) Going to give a shout to to Cathy from Brooklyn NY at the front desk. My flight was canceled and we were rebooked on a flight for 2 days later, manager offered me a taxi voucher so I wouldn't have to take the Magical Express (when the flight was originally delayed 3 hours). When the flight was canceled Cathy helped us get another studio for 2 additional nights at price I orignally was booked for, and was able to tie it all to the original reservation and help with park tickets!

The people at check in were great. but there seems to be a lack of communications between reservations and the resort has problems. Also why does it take over 2 hours to talk to someone the help solve problems with reservations trying to coordinate a vacation?

• (10/25) As I stated earlier the rooms are in desperate need of a rehab. We had an issue with the couch being sunk into the frame so it hurt to sit. They had to come and add a support board. Now that is all fine and good, but this is the second trip where we had to get a support cushion in two separate rooms so obviously they know this is an issue and it may be better to fix it ahead of time. The kitchen faucet was cracked and the tub had missing pieces around the drain.

• (10/25) This was a shock to see this room, looks very dated and was in disrepair. (We were doing a split stay and had just checked out of the Poly.) The carpet had a dirty look to it, and it made me nervous to walk on it without socks. The pull out sofa was TERRIBLE, the cushions were ill-fitting and the couch could not even be sat on it was so broken down. The TV was laughable, flat screen but only about 32" and in this HUGE cabinet that took up too much space in the room. No storage in this unit, no where to put luggage and a closet that was impossible to open, the bi-fold door was broken and sticking in the track. The bathroom was so small, and the toilet paper almost behind the person when sitting. (one of my pet peeves)


• (15/25) While the room was “clean” the second bedroom was must smelling and housecleaning had left a cleaning rag behind

It was like staying at a “Motel 6” My friend is the DVC member so I didn’t make a stink about it, just got an extra blanket the next morning and slept on the couch like that. Couldn’t stomach the skeevy mattress! I’ve stayed in numerous DVC resorts with my friend and SSR was by far the worst !


• (10/25) House cleaning did an “ok” job, but we found an Advil liquid gel tablet on the floor and a couple of hairs after my daughter dropped something on the floor. The tablet on the floor is really unacceptable. If a child had picked it up and eaten it, that could be very dangerous. The bathroom was clean.

Found a pair of dirty socks in the drawer of the stand next to the main entry. From the upper level we could see inches of dust on top of the tv stand downstairs and the chandelier. This room had not been refurbished yet, they were working on the building next to us while there.


• (20/25) I'll start by saying this was a pre-refurbished room. While all surfaces were clean, the room smelled a little damp when we got in. I looked around and couldn't find any source for the smell. Since we were preparing to head out, I ignored the issue for now. When returning from the parks we passed out. By the time we awoke then next morning the smell was more noticeable and the carpet was wet near the kitchenette and AC closet. After calling the front desk, someone from maintenance showed up in about 10 minutes. We left him in the room to work and returned that evening. The leak seemed to be fixed and the carpet cleaned, however, the smell was still faint but noticeable. Neither my wife or I are particularly sensitive to smell so we left it at that.

While I didn't appear to have any weird stains on it (see Pete's review of the Grand Floridian hotel room), the couch was so uncomfortable we couldn't sit on it. We ended up using it as a holding space for souvenirs and bags and just ended up sitting on the chairs/bed. While nothing else was particularly bad, the decor in general pale's in comparison to other DVC resorts. This is especially evident after seeing the Old Key West refurbished rooms. I'm looking forward to seeing the new rooms next time we stay there.

The kitchen appliances are SEVERELY yellowed, ruining the look of the kitchen.

The water hose created a hazard and an impediment for luggage. In addition, one of the workers did not yield as I was walking back and I had to go around him - strange way to treat an owner. I did notice every other time a guest was on the same path as a cast member, the cast member moved or started to move. When a CM is pushing an item it was easier and faster for me to move. ATM was down on the day of departure Made proper tipping difficult.

What we did see needed updating and they were in the process of updated the food court the day we were there so we couldn't get refills we were offered cans.

• (6/15) The rooms are in desperate need of a rehab. In my opinion they are a few years overdue. We had a two bedroom handicap accessible room and it was beat up! The entry door was very difficult to open, and we had to have a great debate with housekeeping/maintenance over if it was operational or not-I finally had to say if my 70 year old parents, one in a scooter and one who just got done 6 months of chemo can't get it in it's not operational-PERIOD! Turned out the hinges needed adjusting and WD40-which isn't a terribly hard solution and not one worth a debate with a customer.

Hack: put some frozen water bottles or ice in bags, in the fridge to kick start the cooling. Bright, cherry, roomy and not stuffy, SSR alway makes me feel as though I am really on vacation.

We had lunch one day and I would have liked more choices, I chalk this up to the restaurant recovering from the pandemic so I'll give it some slack. The cheese steak was "okay" but I'm used to Philly cheese steaks. All told I do like the Artist's Palette but it needs more items added to the menu.

• (8/10) Overall we had good bus service, right in line with the 20 minute timeframe. Big frustration when we leave the parks and bus filled with people going to Disney Springs not SSR. Just frustrating. Disney needs to run buses to Disney Springs all day not just after 4.

In order to get to the parks, you have to wait for a bus to the main part of the resort and then wait for another bus to the park so it takes twice as long to get somewhere. Even the boat to Disney springs was only picking up from treehouse villas at very limited times of the day.

You have to build in at least an hour or more to your schedule if you want to get to a reservation or a fast pass on time. My family ended up using uber a couple of times because the busses weren’t running on time or the monitor with the bus arrivals/departures kept displaying that the bus was going to be later and later. This was the most inconvenient part of our trip and has caused us to consider other resorts.


• (4/10) We were on the fourth stop out of five, and more than once the buses were full. The stop was very close, however.


• (4/10) Bus transportation is not convenient having to go to the main building of the resort to go elsewhere on property.


• (4/10) This was probably our only negative. Two mornings in a row, we were jammed into buses that were beyond standing room only. Given the money paid for this resort, I'd say the transportation, if heading to the park first thing in the morning, needs improvement. We ended up using Minnie Vans most mornings, just because the over-crowding made my family of 6 feel uncomfortable. I think Disney could up their game in terms of bus transportation during busy times.


• (8/10) Transportation at this resort is plentiful. Boats to Disney Springs arrive frequently and if you are staying near The Grandstand, it’s a quick 3 minute walk. Bus stops are conveniently placed throughout the resort, though our entire stay the times on the app did not update. My only real complaint about transportation at Saratoga Springs is that the line leaving the parks is always extending out of the queue for this resort, making your wait and experience on the ride back unenjoyable.


• (8/10) At first I thought it would be difficult using transportation with so many stops however with two bus locations to choose from just a short distance from our room and barely waiting at all I would give this an A plus.

I was worried that we would have long wait times but the service was on time from the resort going to the parks...staying at the Grandstand location does help. We did experience longer wait times leaving the parks and I attribute this to social distancing on the buses. I assume this will get better moving forward.


• (4/10) Bus issues remain - COVID or not. Waited 50 minutes for a bus at Epcot close. There were still people in the queue when I boarded. I took pictures of the other bus loading areas. None had more than a few people waiting while the SSR area was overflowing.


• (10/10) Disney transportation was very good. Having the data boards at to pick-up and drop off areas to let you know when the next bus arrives is great. Sadly Disney is stopping Magical express. it has been a great service. The train of the future is going to be interesting to deal with. People will not want to wait hours for a train to get the the Magic. Disney Magical express made things simple and great.

• (6/10) This is tough, we didn't spend very many points for our short stay but the room was not special or 'Disney'. I'll be very interested to see how this resort changes when the renovations are finished.


• (8/10) While the theming isn't over the top, and some would consider this resort boring, we really loved it. We've stayed at about half of the Disney resorts, and this was one of our favorites. It was quiet, which we liked, and we thought the crowd (primarily adults, not many kids) was good too. The proximity to Disney Springs is great, and we enjoyed the option of walking or taking a bus.

• (10/10) We booked on a UK offer for two weeks in a studio at Saratoga Springs and free dining. This was a good deal in itself as we didn’t have to pay for any food for our two week vacation. We were then very fortunate to be upgraded from a studio to a two bedroom villa! So for the price we paid we got exceptional value

• (10/10) We had never stayed at a Deluxe resort. Our previous visits we stayed All Star Movies, Pop Century, or Port Orleans Riverside. This trip we rented points to get a 2 BR villa and a couple studios. We loved it so much that my brother and I bought into DVC at the end of the week and have already booked our first stay on our own points for October 2020.

I would say that the room is equivalent to the 1 bedrooms at the best DVC resorts (I know this is a can of worms to open, but it's not a debate for me to say that the nicest are probably RR and VGF) but the location is just not great. I would hate to be staying there without a car. And for that, the 30 points is a bit steep.

• (4/10) Overpriced. Only thing going for it really is that it's a Disney resort. The proximity to Disney Springs that is always mentioned is very misleading. No boat transportation and you can't walk past the golf course. So if you are at House of Blues and need to get back to the resort it's a very long walk through crowds after a long day walking around the parks.

• (4/10) This trip was a big let down. So much advertising to come and enjoy and nothing but headaches because they do not have enough help. Long lines for food and long wait times once ordered. Minimal selection. Gluten Free options limited to salad and cookies. If you have a food allergy, go to the grocery store or you'll be hungry. Not much better at the parks either.
