Since our last stay we have become DVC members, so future stays in the Epcot area will have to be Beach Club Villas or Boardwalk Villas. I clicked yes to staying in the future, above, because had we not bought into DVC we would absolutely stay at Yacht Club again. And I wouldn't rule out a cash stay there from time to time in the future.

One member of our party remarked that this is where the one percenter parents stay (they stayed at all stars though)and I slightly agree. This is not an active resort for the late night or younger generation and could use better quick service as well, but it is comfy with a great location. The rooms are the best refurb I’ve seen on property besides Coronado (stayed at poly and contemporary too). Very nice time and stay here

- Overall Impression: Overall, the Yacht Club is a solid resort. However, I found the club level experience to be quite lacking. The food presentations are just sad, especially compared to a club level such as at the Poly. Asking for a glass of wine required the cast member to go down the hall and come back, resulting in a delay and a service level that just didn’t feel quite right. The number of tables available is not enough to accommodate the number of guests and cast members took way, way too long to clear tables in busy times. I was left to clean up other people’s tables just to get a place to sit. On multiple occasions the espresso/coffee machine was just showing an error message on the screen and no one seemed to care.
Also, having the concierge desks sitting in essentially what is the elevator lobby doesn’t result in the luxe vibe one might expect.
The location can’t be beat, especially if you are focused on Epcot and the Studios. But just skip the club floor or look elsewhere if a club floor experience is important to you.

If there is a negative it might be the lack of quick service dining options. We did eat at Ale & Compass for both breakfast and dinner and loved both!

- Overall Impression: I don't like this resort. Me and my wife stayed here for our anniversary, because we wanted something different. It was a mistake. The dining at the resort isn't very good overall. The food court, if you even want to call it that, is non-existent. Now, you could go out and get some good food on the Boardwalk or in Epcot, but this is a deluxe, the food in the resort should be better and not just rely on what you have along the Boardwalk. The gift shop is awful. The CMs are reserved. I mean they seem to be going for a more upscale New York Hotel vibe, and the CMs nail it, but that's not what I want on my vacation. So, although I didn't find them unfriendly, I did find them unapproachable. I wanted to do something a little more romantic for our anniversary, and although this place seemed like it would hit those boxes, it just didn't for me.

As far as we are concerned the Yacht Club is "Our special place on property", it has the right mix of being in the "Disney bubble" but not being themed to within an inch of it's life.
Location wise, we both feel that it's very hard to beat with Epcot & DHS as well as the Beach Club, The Boardwalk & The Swan & Dolphin being within walking distance.

The Boardwalk location has a vacation feel but this hotel was stuffy and more business like. It was the first time we ever stayed at an EPCOT Resort and now we know we definitely prefer the Monorail Resorts - especially the POLYNESIAN!! (Booked there for September!!!!)

- Overall Impression: We loved YC in 2018 and that's why we went back. That stay was fantastic because they upgraded us to a water view room and it was very close to the lobby. I didn't expect pixie dust again but wow the room we had was so far away from everything, and adding the maintenance work outside our balcony in, it seemed like we got negative pixie dust. Almost like we were being punished for something. We were all the way on the end in a corner and were a country mile away from the lobby. Knowing this could happen again makes me hesitant to stay at this resort again.
