Halloween at Walt Disney World

This fan-favorite event returns to Magic Kingdom this fall, complete with the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus casting their wicked spells across the park! Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place on select nights from August 15 through October 31, 2025 from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: FAQs

When is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2025, and what are the hours?

The 2025 event runs on select nights from August 15 through October 31, 2025, typically from 7:00 PM–12:00 AM (midnight). Exact dates and availability vary by night. Times and offerings are subject to change.

Can I enter Magic Kingdom early with my party ticket? Do I need a regular park ticket?

Yes. Party ticket holders can begin event check-in and enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM on their ticket date. If you arrive at 4:00 PM or later, no regular day ticket is required. Day guests without party wristbands are cleared out before the party begins.

What are the 2025 showtimes for the parade, fireworks, and castle show?
  • Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade: 8:15 PM and 11:15 PM.
  • Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular (fireworks): typically 10:00 PM.
  • Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular (castle stage):
    • Aug 15–late Sept: approximately 9:05 PM, 10:35 PM, 12:00 AM.
    • Late Sept–Oct: an extra earlier show is usually added (around 7:35/7:40 PM), plus 9:05 PM, 10:35 PM, 12:00 AM.

Showtimes can change; always verify in the My Disney Experience app the day of your party.

Are Lightning Lanes or virtual queues used during the party?

No Lightning Lanes during party hours. Attractions operate via standby only at MNSSHP. As of 2025, no Walt Disney World attractions use virtual queues. If you have a regular day ticket and were in the park earlier, you may use Lightning Lanes before about 6:00 PM; once the party begins, Lightning Lanes are not offered.

Which rides get special Halloween overlays?
  • Space Mountain: pitch-black ride with Halloween soundtrack (party-exclusive).
  • Mad Tea Party: special lighting and music.
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor: Halloween-themed jokes (and a treat stop).

Other attractions operate normally; offerings can vary by year.

How does trick-or-treating work? Are there allergy-friendly options?

Collect a complimentary treat bag at check-in, then visit candy stations around the park throughout the night. For allergies, request a teal allergy-friendly bag—you’ll receive tokens at treat stops to redeem at designated Allergy-Friendly Centers for safe options.

What are the costume rules for adults and kids?
  • Guests 13 and under: costumes and some masks are allowed (eyes must be fully visible; masks must not cover the entire face).
  • Guests 14 and older: costumes allowed for this event; no costume masks, no long trailing gowns, no real or look-alike weapons; capes should not go below the waist; ensure visibility and safety.

All costumes must be family-friendly and follow Disney’s park rules.

Are party tickets refundable? Do dates sell out?

MNSSHP tickets are typically nonrefundable and nontransferable and valid only for the specified date/hours. Dates often sell out, especially near Halloween. Entertainment may be delayed or canceled due to weather, and refunds are not guaranteed.

Is Disney PhotoPass/Memory Maker included with my party ticket?

PhotoPass photographers and party-exclusive Magic Shots are available during MNSSHP, but Memory Maker is not included with the event ticket. If you have Memory Maker (or purchase Memory Maker One Day), your party photos and ride photos will be included in your downloads.

What’s a simple first-timer strategy to maximize my night?
  1. Enter at 4:00 PM to do dinner and a couple of rides before 7:00 PM.
  2. After 7:00 PM, prioritize entertainment: catch the early Hocus Pocus (or the added early October show), enjoy fireworks at ~10:00 PM, then watch the second parade at 11:15 PM (usually less crowded).
  3. Ride overlays and popular coasters see shorter waits late; trick-or-treat lines are also shortest late.

As part of the event, guests can enjoy event-exclusive entertainment, more notorious Disney villains than ever before, and the Haunted Mansion graveyard gravediggers.

Guests are given trick-or-treat bags to be used at the candy stations found throughout the park. Locations are indicated on the event map.

Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or could detract from the experience of other guests. We have a list of the Costume Guidelines below.
