Disneyland Disney Genie and Lightning Lane Information
The complimentary Disney Genie service can help guests create their best Disneyland day using information you select and keeping your top interests in mind. Disney Genie has new planning features, including a personalized itinerary creator. Disney Genie can save you time by mapping out your theme park day, with updates that will continue throughout the day.
You’ll receive attraction and dining recommendations inspired by what you told Disney Genie service you’re most interested in doing and seeing. Swapping out your options after you've told the app your preferences is not a problem either. Disney Genie service will continue offering new suggestions throughout the day, so you can make the most of your time during your visit.
You can find Disney Genie recommendations in the “My Day” tab along with any plans you’ve made, including dining reservations and Disneyland Resort hotel reservations. The tab will begin populating at 7:00 am on the day of your visit. You’ll also be able to chat with a Disney cast member who can answer any questions you have along the way.
There are 2 ways to enjoy quicker access to some of your favorite attractions – go “à la carte” and purchase Individual Lightning Lane entry arrival windows for a couple of the most popular attractions, and/or purchase Disney Genie+ service and enjoy Lightning Lane entry arrival windows for a different set of select attractions all day long.

Although LIGHTNING LANES are a great way to beat long lines, Disneyland also offers Single Rider lines. If you’re willing to split up your party, you will be seated in any open seats on the ride.

The below attractions currently offer the Single Rider option. If you can’t locate the Single Rider line, see the Cast Member at the entrance and they will direct you. This is great if you have teenagers who tend to ride the same ride over and over again.

The Rider Switch program allows multiple adults to experience an attraction while one adult waits with a child, then "switch" to enable the other adult to enjoy the attraction.
Rider Switch is available for all atractions with height requirements. Check with a Cast Member at the entrance to each attraction for instructions.
