Annual dues are charged at every Disney Vacation Club Resort. These dues go to pay for the maintenance and upkeep of the property and last the full term of the contract. Even after you’re done paying for your DVC membership, the dues will continue.
DVC annual dues are assessed based on the number of points you have each year and are determined by each Resort’s annual budget. Based on 2019, if you owned 200 points at Animal Kingdom Lodge, your annual dues would be $1,488 per year (200 points at $7.44 per point). You will pay these dues for the life of your membership. Dues can be paid annually or monthly. You should factor the yearly cost of these dues into the decision to purchase.
You’ll notice that dues at Hilton Head Island (South Carolina) and Vero Beach (Florida) are significantly higher than those at Walt Disney World Resorts. Those are both beach resorts that incur more wear and tear than other DVC properties, requiring more maintenance.
