Disney Cruise Line has just announced some exciting enhancements that will debut on the Disney Magic cruise ship in early 2018. The new experiences and spaces that are being developed include a “Tangled-themed family restaurant, a fresh new space for teens, and a sophisticated café for adults.”
An Enchanting Dining Experience for Families
At Rapunzel’s Royal Table, guests can enjoy a new dining experience that was inspired by the cherished story of Disney’s Tangled. This will be the very first table service restaurant themed around Tangled featuring characters and live entertainment, including lively song and dance, a joyous band of musicians, the mischievous Snuggly Duckling Thugs, and Princess Rapunzel herself!
Guests will step into a regal ballroom in the royal castle that will be lit by glowing wish lanterns and embellished with drawings which display Rapunzel’s artistic talents. The King and Queen of Corona will invite guests to take part in a joyful celebration of Rapunzel’s birthday and the anniversary of her return to the kingdom.
Guests will be treated to themed menus, special activities, and a festive parade to end their evening in Corona. The charm and enchantment of this Tangled-inspired dining experience in Rapunzel’s Royal Table makes the perfect complement to ‘Tangled: The Musical’ – the original performance that guests can see during each Disney Magic sailing.
Rapunzel’s Royal Table will replace Carioca’s, which was just added to the Magic in 2013. During the makeover, Cabana’s will become part of the evening dining rotation, complete with enhanced entertainment.
Redesigned Retreat Just for Teens
Vibe, the space on the ship reserved for teens ages 14-17, is being transformed into a trendy urban loft environment. At Vibe, teen guests can enjoy a new coffee and smoothie bar, play video and virtual reality games, and check out other cool activities like a DJ spin-off and movie making.
Refined Escape Exclusively for Adults
If it’s a grown-up escape you’re looking for, the Cove Café might be just the thing. This hangout is in the process of being redesigned into a sophisticated tropical style. Cove Café makes the perfect place to sip a specialty coffee or tea throughout the day or to indulge in a glass of wine or a cocktail and light bites during the evening hours.
Other enhancement highlights on the Disney Magic include the addition of Club Disney Junior in Disney’s Oceaneer Club for children along with a redesigned Rainforest Room with steam and hydrotherapy in Senses Spa for adults.
The new enhancements will make their debut on the Disney Magic beginning March 9, 2018, on sailings departing from Miami.
