We are loving the Character meet and greet opportunities throughout the Walt Disney World theme parks at the moment. If you missed our Complete Character Guides for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT’s World Showcase, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, be sure to catch up on them before your next trip to the magic. It’s time for our last East Coast Disney theme park to cover this topic before we move over to the West. There may not be as many characters to meet in Disney’s Animal Kingdom; however, this park is where my family has had some of its best character experiences. Let’s take a look at who you can find in the park and where they are.
Meet Favorite Mickey & Minnie Mouse at Adventurers Outpost
The Adventurers Outpost is one of the best places to meet up with your friends, Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Uniquely themed expedition-ready outfits make the pair quite a sight in the perfect meeting and greet experience in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Meet Favorite Disney Pals at Adventurers Outpost
Adventuring along Discovery River, you can catch quite a few of your favorite characters enjoying a boat ride. The Discovery Island Drummers take their musical skills to the water, while characters like Timon from The Lion King, Doug, and Russel from Up, Scrooge McDuck, and Pocahontas are waving to guests along the way. This might not be your traditional meet-and-greet experience, though it is fun to see Disney friends roaming around the waterways in such a casual way.
Meet Moana on Discovery Island
She has crossed the horizon to find you on Discovery Island! All the way from Motunui, Moana is ready to share her stories of wayfaring adventure with you when you stop by to say hello.
Meet Dino Donald Duck in DinoLand USA
Donald Duck is celebrating his dinosaur ancestors in DinoLand, USA. You can find Donald Duck, along with Daisy Duck, & Chip and Dale, all enjoying the festivities. These Disney friends will probably be wearing their best dinosaur-inspired costumes, so be sure to admire their new looks.
I hope you enjoy meeting the characters of Disney’s Animal Kingdom as much as I do. Moana is a lot of fun to visit with. You can see Erica’s recent visit with Moana here. Always keep an eye on the most up-to-date times and locations on the Walt Disney World Website here.
