Don’t feel like visiting a Walt Disney World Theme Park while you are on vacation? Did your budget not allow an extra day on your tickets? You didn’t reserve any FastPasses because you didn’t know which park you wanted to visit? I have an idea you might like.

You might want to play Bus Roulette for the day. You could also combine it with other forms of Walt Disney World (WDW) Transportation to tour the resorts, have a meal, enjoy the scenery, enjoy the air conditioning, etc.

The rules are simple; you jump on the first bus that comes. If you don’t want to visit a water park, just ignore them. We do this every time we stay at Walt Disney World. It’s a way to break up the day and you can see different parts of the 40 square miles that make up WDW. Keep in mind that Disney has a few rules of their own if you are going to ride the bus.

Just keep in mind that there are no buses from Disney Springs that go directly to a theme park. If you first ride a bus to a theme park first, you can take a bus to a resort or Disney Springs from there. Keep in mind that the best place to connect to another place is the bus area at each of the theme parks.

If you are taking a stroller with you, you should have it folded up and ready to go when the bus pulls up. Don’t forget where you started your bus adventure. You will need to remember this to get back to your resort. When you go to the bus area at the parks or Disney Springs, you will see signs telling you where the bus stops are located for the resorts.

If you would like to break up the trip you could take a boat from the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Polynesian, Port Orleans Riverside, and Port Orleans French Quarter. You could also utilize the boats at the Epcot resorts. Just head back to the bus stop and you can continue on your journey.

While you are on the bus, put away your phone and just relax. I was impressed to see how the buses were able to avoid most of the construction near Disney Springs. I recommend waiting to play bus roulette until after the morning rush and before the parks close for the evening. We had a great time on the bus just watching the scenery and listening to the music.
