Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 10092 Condition: 5
Deck: 10 Category: 4A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/18/13

Notes: This was our first cruise. We did not notice any noise at all in either of our cabins (10092 and 10592, right opposite each other). The views were unobstructed and perfect. If I have to mention anything at all, you have to walk a bit along the hallways to get to a staircase since the room is right in the middle of the ship. All or us really liked the cabins and would be happy to stay in them again.

Notes: Noisy, NOisy, NOIsy, NOISy, NOISY!!!! This is a lovely cabin. It is magnificent. It is the best cabin of any ship that I have ever stayed in. The layout is roomy and well planned. There is enough space to move around without banging into the furniture and walls. The bathroom is creative and fun (especially the shower with the overhead sprinkler). The verandah is a nice size and provides plenty of privacy. The living area is well laid out and is comfortable for small groups. The desk area is big enough to actually work on and do all your organization. This cabin is almost exactly mid-ship. This means that normal ship rocking front to back is minimized. Side to side rocking is a little apparent because of being on an upper deck, but even in small seas the effects were minimal. Access to elevators is great, but this cabin is far enough down the hallway so that you dont hear every person tromping past your room on the way to the elevators. Folks split and go both directions away from this cabin. I chose this deck because it did not have any other guest cabins above it. I thought this would provide a quiet location without noisy neighbors in the cabin above me. But This is perhaps one of the noisiest hotel rooms I have ever experienced in any location. Deck 10 is right under deck 11 which is where the pool deck and lots of the on ship entertainment takes place. The noise is non-stop all day and into the night. You can clearly hear people, and especially kids, running and screaming around the pool and the nearby food service areas. I tried to determine exactly where this cabin is located and as best as I can place it, this cabin is just off the main Mickey pool. The main walkway for that side of the deck goes right over this cabin. Essentially, everyone who walks past the pool is walking on your ceiling. The other thing that is annoying is the deck 11 overhang. When you are sitting on your verandah, you are just under the part of the ship that sticks out over the side of most of the ship. That deck 11 overhang provides a lot of shade, but it also blocks a good deal of the sky. Watching the stars from your verandah is almost impossible because you cant look straight up; you can only see to the horizon. Unfortunately, the layout and size of this cabin (category 4) seems to only be available on deck 10. But the noise is so constant and intense that I cannot recommend this deck. I would choose a deck at least one deck lower and risk overhead noise from the cabin above, rather than the constant noise from deck 11.

Notes: The stateroom size and layout were great. There is a ton of storage! Brought an over-the-door shoe organizer for additional storage space, but didn't even need it. Great location for access to elevators (mid or aft), and enjoyed not having to wait for the elevator and just being able to run up one flight of stairs to Cabanas and the pool deck. We were concerned about the noise after reading other reports, however we found the noise to be minimal. Early in the morning (7am or so), you could hear chairs being moved, but not enough to ever wake up my husband. Otherwise the noise from the pools quieted down around 10pm (still not significant), so never had an issue getting to sleep. Overall a wonderful stateroom!

Notes: Great location and a beautiful room, but MUCH TOO NOISY! At night, it seemed like they were constantly working on the deck - grinding, hammering, etc. It would wake you up every night and left us tired the next day. I loved the room's size and layout, but would suggest moving down to deck 9 and avoid the room noise.
