Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 1042 Condition: 5
Deck: 1 Category: 9D Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 09/03/12

Notes: I absolutely loved this room and am trying to get it again for the Dec. Panama Canal cruise 2012. Noise level is minimal and comforting. Location is so very convenient that I can't even stress enough how easy it is to access the mid ship atrium, Guest Services, elevators, shops and such. I chose this room for the last Alaska cruise so that I could be as close to the water as possible (about 8-10 feet above) and could look out over the ice flows in the water, as well as look up to the mountains and waterfalls, glaciers and such. If I wanted to look down on the chunks of ice, I could have gone to 4 or 9 to do so. I had worried about being claustrophibic, but that is such not the case with this room. There is enough room for one or 2 without feeling in each other's way. Give it a try!

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 1042 Condition: 5
Deck: 1 Category: 9D Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/13/12

Notes: There were some pictures of oceanview staterooms for the Magic on different sites and it was exactly as pictured. The rooms are not large, but very functional for the space utilized. We only had 2 people in our party and I can see adding 2 children or 1 child and 1 adult, but that adult would need to sleep on a single sized bunk. Everything was well maintained, the room was very quiet, everything worked well except the clock radio that we could never get to show the correct time. The room is very conveniently located on the first level between mid ship and aft, so we had the choice of two different elevator banks and were really close to the debarking area when we landed at St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay. There are two portholes, they do not open so that can make you a little claustrophobic, but nice view of ocean out of them. Some mild rocking when there were rough seas, but nothing that bothered us. We were not in the room often, so we were happy not to have spent the extra money to upgrade as this room was perfectly fine for our needs.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 1042 Condition: 5
Deck: 1 Category: 9 Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 12/23/09

Notes: Quiet, clean room in good shape. Bed very comfortable. Two small portholes let in plenty of light and provided a view of the water and waves if you stood up to look out. No steamer trunk, but we found that there was plenty of storage space anyway. Enjoyed this room.
