Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 1050 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 9D | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 09/25/19 | ||
Notes: We stayed in the interior rooms (1051/1053) across the hall last year on the Magic, so thought we'd give the oceanview ones a try this time. We paid about $200 more/stateroom to do so. We had both 1050 and 1052, which connect. The rooms are in good condition but are definitely more noisy than the interiors. The interiors had a whine/thunk occasional engine noise. The oceanviews have the same noise, but you can also occasionally hear people walking above you, and there was also a metallic dragging sound 2-3 times per night. My husband did not hear it (he's a heavy sleeper) but I sure did (I'm a light sleeper. We did have a white noise machine going). So while I did like the two portholes, I will go back to the interiors if I sail the Magic again, just because having a quiet room is my #1 priority. Between the two, 1052 seemed slightly more quiet than 1050. We also got a random odor of ship's fuel for about 20 minutes in 1050 that we did not get in 1052. I do like Deck 1 a lot for its out-of-the-way factor, but I would probably not book these two rooms again. |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 1050 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 9 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 08/24/08 | ||
Notes: quiet, convenient, loved the portholes, just right for 2 people |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 1050 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 9 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 03/31/07 | ||
Notes: Little Traffic, near elevators, very quiet, close to disembark. We loved this room and rebooked the same room for next year. Plenty of light with portholes. Low Deck makes for smooth sailing! |
