Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 10512 Condition: 5
Deck: 10 Category: 5A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 02/21/15

Notes: The room was in perfect condition other than an iPod radio that never worked correctly, even when replaced. The only reason this was an issue is that music was the only thing that could drown out the incessant dropping of weights by people in the gym directly overhead who think dropping weights makes them more macho. I never slept past 7:15, and I’m not an early riser by any stretch of the imagination. The constant noise of doors slamming overhead and free weights being dropped from what sounded like overhead height, followed by vibrations that seemingly shook the ship to the keel, ensured that I would not actually be sleeping in bed on vacation other than the hours of 12-7, tops. This room, and others on the hallway (confirmed with several neighbors) turned into echo chambers once the gym opened up. Top it off with the rhythmic drone of a treadmill accompanied by what sounded like a 600 pound runner wearing lead jackboots and a 200 pound backpack and it’s a recipe for insomnia. The overhang can be annoying to some, but since I spontaneously combust in the sun it didn’t bother me. The only other issue with being on this deck might be if you like to wander around stark naked while in port, because the maintenance staff does constant laps by your window as they pressure wash the ship. The guy controlling the rolling work deck *can* see in your window, confirmed by us waving to him and him waving back. Very conveniently located. Close to the gym for those who get up at 6 am to drop weights in the spa and close to the adult areas for those who fancy a run up to the Cove for beers and the DOTD. I wouldn’t recommend this room to anybody unless they’re either dead, deaf, sleep so soundly that a lumber truck driving through a nitro glycerine factory wouldn’t wake them up or love to get up to work out before the sun comes up. Perhaps these rooms should be changed to a Cat 4ex. The ex appellation would be for “exercising". That way the people in these rooms wouldn’t have to worry about waking guests up, since they’d be the ones throwing bricks at the floor.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 10512 Condition: 4
Deck: 10 Category: 5A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 07/06/13

Notes: Very convenient to the adult sections of deck 11, forward elevators and the spa. Noise from upstairs woke me up early each morning. Balcony does have an overhang, didn't bother us. My husband, myself and two children (11,9) shared the room, plenty of room. This room is a connecting room with 10514.
