Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 10526

Notes: We loved this room. It was just the two of us, but I would travel this room with our children with no problem. If you open the door, you see right out to the forward elevator and stairs, but we heard almost nothing. There is also a midship detective agency spot right outside the room and even with that, minimal noise was heard. The spa is right above, so no noise there. A quick walk up the stairs had us in the adult pool section, and a walk down the ship to cabana's. Getting to the MDRs was a bit of a walk since they were at the other end and the hallways can get tricky as to what ones go all the way through the ship, but nothing horrible. If we were going to stay on the 10th deck again, we would want in this area as it is quiet. There is an overhang on the veranda from the spa so there isn't as much sun as on the decks under, but we were ok with that. They do go by the room in a window washing unit and spray everything down, so keep your curtains closed when in port. I don't know if we had just never been in our room before or if they only hit the top deck, but I had never seen that before.

Notes: This was the quietest room we have had yet on the Dream. The noise in the hall was minimal and we were just 1 flight of stairs below the Cove area up on deck. The room is actually right below the Senses Spa check in so if you are worried about the gym then don't because we heard no deck noise at all. The view is a great one of CastAway Cay bay area and Atlantis at Nassau. The overhang on the balcony does not allow as much sun to hit this area so if you want the sun then you need to move down one deck. Plenty of room for the wife and I.

Notes: We LOVED this room and its location, especially as 2 adults traveling without children, it is perfect. If you have children this may not be the location for you. This door to this room faces exactly the hallway opening between the stairs and the elevators. Making it extremely convenient to open your door and either hop right on the elevators, or run up the stairs to the Senses Spa and the Adult pool area, or run down the stairs to the Walt Disney Theater. It is also an easy walk to the cabanas which are located in the aft. The room is extremely quiet (you wouldn't think so based on it being by the stairs and elevators), but it is very very quiet. Family rooms are mid-ship so the mid-ship elevators are much more noisy, where the forward elevators are less used. Above the room is the sense spa, so that also aids in keeping the room quiet. We found the room itself to be conmfortable with tons of storage. This room is on the starboard side so when in Port Canaveral your veranda faces the Terminal and while on Cast Away Cay you face the main populated side (so you have the best view). We were on the Eastern Caribbean cruise and our two other stops were St.Thomas and St.Maarten. For both these stops while are views was awesome they didn't have the best view as the port side (but that is ok, Castaway Cay made up for it and so did the view when leaving Port Canaveral) When out on the veranda there is an overhang from the spa above which provides some much needed shade and does help in making the verenda less breezy. Some folks don't care much for the overhang as they say they can't see straight up to the stars, but we had no issue seeing tons of stars. We will defintely reserve this room again :-)
