Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 10550 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 10 | Category: 5A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 07/24/11 | ||
Notes: I have no specific complaints about stateroom 10550 on the Dream. Loved being so close to the midship elevators - which provide convenient access to the lobby/atrium, the Edge tween club, Shutters, shopping, and the pools. (We just walked the one flight up for the pools.) Wonderful view of Castaway Cay. We didn't notice any noise from chairs above at Flo's Cafe. Everything in room works and is in good repair.
A couple of notes about deck 10 in general: Be aware that there is a significant overhang from deck 11 over the verandahs of deck 10. The overhang does provide shade but some might find it bothersome. Also, the partition between the verandahs of connecting staterooms can be opened but the partition between verandahs of non-connecting rooms cannot. So if you are traveling in non-connecting staterooms or with more than 2 staterooms in a row you will not be able to connect all the verandahs. I *believe* this issue is unique to deck 10 - as we did notice what looked like a row of 5 connected verandahs down on deck 7! |

Notes: Excellent location between the front and middle of the ship one deck below the pool. Yes, lots of noise in the evening and morning from chairs being moved however I was the only one to notice it. Hubby and kids never heard a thing. Nice view of Castaway and Atlantis. If you are a heavy sleeper it would be fine but if I had to choose again I would do deck 9. Cabin was clean with lots of storage. Bed was super comfortable. Kids used couch and pull down bunk with no problem. |
