Notes: This stateroom was conveniently located just about 5 rooms from the deck 10 midship elevator. Close enough to not be a long walk bu far enough to be away from the noise and traffic of the popular elevators. We did hear a lot of noise from deck 11 just above us but found that the majority of that noise subsided after 10-11pm. We are adults traveling with older teens who stayed in their own room on deck 5 so we weren't in the room much until just about 11Pm - midnight each night. The noise was much worse during the day - making naps difficult. I had read the boards before cruising and brought ear plugs. PROBLEM SOLVED!
The view was unobstructed and the verandah was spacious enough for two but when the kids came to check it out it felt crowded with them. I found no signs of wear in the room or bathrooms and no evidence of mold or mildew anywhere. I took advantage of the clotheslines in the shower which came in handy. DH LOVED the rain shower head in the bathroom but I opted for the handheld shower head to control pressure.
The shelving in the shower was not tall enough for what I believe are standard size shampoo and body wash bottles so they stayed on the sitting area of the shower. There was no hook for a loufa so bring a suction cup one if that is important to you.
Luggage stored perfectly under the bed
Lots of storage areas in and around the desk and closets when unused by us.
There were plenty of hangars in the closet - I believe there were at least 10 and maybe more.
Our host was Budi and he was most helpful and attentive to anything we had questions on.
I wished there was a place to hang/store jewelry. Perhaps there is a life-hack for this but we are not experienced travelers.
We stored 6 pairs of shoes under the desk and that helped keep the floors clear of tripping issues.
There is a built in night light which was helpful the first night for navigating a new room in the middle of the night. After that we turned it off.
Our neighbors felt the need to leave their verandah light on all night and that was plenty of light for us. We slept with the curtains opened all night and let the sunshine be our alarm clock each morning.
It took us a bit to figure out the wave phones in the room and in the end just left them in the room most of the time.
Having 2 bathrooms is AWE-SOME.
Having deck 11 up one set of stairs is FANTASTIC! no need for the elevator to get to where the action/food is. It's just a few steps away...!
Hint- don't take the key card out of the power supply to run upstairs for ice cream while your husband is in the bathroom with no windows... :) |
