Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 10576 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 10 | Category: 4A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 08/28/15 | ||
Notes: This room is close to mid-ship elevators and stairs immediately up to deck 11 for the pool and ice cream machine. I read other reviews, we did hear some noise from the pool deck, but we tried to be at the parties and out of the room except to sleep. There is an overhang but it was great as when it did rain (Tropical Storm Erika) our deck was covered. This room is on the side of the ship needed to view Castaway Cay, and is close to the laundry room. Room host was very good, room was clean and spacious. Our "owners locker" purple bin fit under the bed with our luggage. The deck was nice especially since DCL stopped allowing smoking on stateroom decks. I would get this room again. |

Notes: The stateroom was very pretty, spacious, and the Host was pleasant, and did a great job with cleaning the stateroom, as on any Disney Ship. As much as the stateroom was nice, due to the fact that the main deck (deck 11) was right above us the noise level was pretty high all the time. Having the veranda was great but the guest in the adjacent stateroom was a smoker so sit on the veranda was not the most pleasant, due to the fact that smoking is aloud on your own private veranda, but there was nothing we could do about that. Also the overhang from deck 11 did obstruct some of our view off of our veranda. Other than that the stateroom was in prime location, and condition, and as i said earlier, the stateroom host was pleasant, and kept the room very clean and fun with his towel animals. Although a great stateroom, on our next voyage with Disney Cruise Line, I would aim for a lower deck. |

Notes: Gave it a 4 for location, super bed, loads of room (2 of us) & verandah. However, it was, like 10576 on the Dream, noisy from 7:10 a.m. to 11 p.m. with running kids, moving furniture, thumps and load music. Radio instructions get you started with alarm but don't tell you how to stop it (off at 7:30 every morning). Pulled plug. Get Mickey to call you or bring own alarm. TV needed repair, but has verandah door that opens with 10574(our son's room w/family), a bonus. Ceiling night lights confusing as well as all the levers on the desk for various lights (no ID on them). Minimum motion of ship. AC control near ceiling inside door (blue lights cold, red hot). Need night light in potty bathroom if you go at 3 a.m., otherwise wake everyone up w/outside light switch. Will go to deck 9 next time. |

Notes: Room extremely noisy. Heard pounding of deck 11 footsteps all hours of day and night. So disrupting my son said his pillow shook! All adults in our party took sleeping pills to get a good nights sleep. Also, deck overhang stops you from getting a full view of the sky as in the other DCL ships. Avoid this room. It may be best to avoid deck 11 under common areas too. |
