Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 10590 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 10 | Category: 4A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 03/17/13 | ||
Notes: This is a noisy room, no doubts about it :(
Yes it's really convenient for the drinks machine, buffet and pool/aquaduck but if we had our time again we would definitely go a floor down.
It caused us a huge loss of sleep and although guest services were sympathetic and offered to move us to another floor, it would have been a hassle on just a 4 night cruise.
Avoid this room unless you drink heavily or sleep like the dead! |

Notes: Great location! A few steps to the aft stairs/elevators we were one floor from pools and cabanas. took 2 minutes to go fill our drinks or grab a snack. Laundry facilities were also steps away. When you embark you will have a view of the port you can see all the luggage and supplies being brought on board, at Castaway Cay we had the ocean/Island view this was breath taking! In Nassau we had ships beside us not much to see. We could not see the fireworks from our room. It was noisy at night you could hear chairs being shuffled around, but it didn't keep us awake. I would book on deck 9 next time. All in all we loved the room! |

Notes: Great stateroom in a very convenient upper mid ship location - but the deck 11 hot tub is directly above. This means constant foot traffic noise above your head during the day, lots of maintenance noise (moving chairs, scrubbing floors) at night. The noise of a floor buffer on our ceiling woke me up at 5:14 AM one morning! Plus the deck 10 verandas have an overhang that can get in the way for pictures, like taking pictures of Castaway Cay from your veranda. None of these are deal breakers but next time we will drop down at least one deck and everything should be perfect. |

Notes: So room was great and no problems. It is a 4 person room and our room steward was wonderful! However, if you are a light sleeper, you might consider choosing a room on deck 9 as you can hear the chairs and walking/running around. It wasn't a major issue for us, but noticeable at times. If you're used to being on the other 2 ships, they have taken away the chest of drawers that was close to the closet, which means you have to "sneak" over beyond the curtain to get your clothes out of the drawers. Liked the Rain Style shower head, but make sure you turn it on BEFORE |

Liked the Rain Style shower head, but make sure you turn it on BEFORE you get in so you won't wake everyone up when you squeal because it is still cold! Wave phones and On Demand movies are a nice feature. Starboard side, which means you are docked looking at the Disney Terminal and the lagoon at Castaway Cay. It was a great Halloween cruise! |
