Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 10648

Notes: This was a great room. Very convenient to Cabanas, just walk up one flight of stairs and your there! Very easy to see the door from the elevators and can show off your decorated door. Other reviews commented on vibrations but we didn't have a problem. We did feel a slight vibration on castaway morning when backing up..but I wanted to be up for that anyways! Good room overall.

Notes: The stateroom was in excellent cosmetic and functional condition with everything looking and working as it should. There is nothing about this room to stand out as being better than others in its category. The bad parts about this room are as follows: - First, this room should possibly be categorized as having a Navigator's Verandah because the view is partially obstructed. While the verandah itself is completely open, there are three very large support struts that connect from Deck 9 to the outboard portion of where the outside seating for Cabana's on Deck 11 is. These struts are necessary to support that area of the upper deck, but they impede the view from AT LEAST 10646, 10648, and 10650 as well as the three rooms directly below on Deck 9 and the corresponding six staterooms in the same position on on the Port side. - Second, this room vibrates. Badly. And it does not directly correlate to ship speed as other reviews have suggested. At one point on the first night, we were traveling at about 21 knots and the vibrations were bad. The next day, we were traveling at 19 knots and the vibrations were actually worse. After two days of the issue, DCL moved us to a different room because it was so bad. The entire aft area of the ship experiences these vibrations, including The Tube, Animator's Palate, and O'Gill's Pub - it isn't limited to Deck 10. Any sailing of the Fantasy that will have the ship running at cruising speeds will experience these problems. It's possible that perfect sea conditions may minimize it, but it won't last for the entire cruise. I was on a 7 night Western Caribbean sailing that had us at 18-22 knots at all times, including on sea days. - Third is the proximity to the elevators and stairs - this room, along with the one directly forward of it (and similar for the two on the Port side) are directly visible from the elevator and stair access area. While the noise level actually wasn't terrible overall, it was definitely noisier because of foot traffic in the stairs and from the elevators than the room we were moved to (which was about four doors off of the access area). While it is a nice room and is actually 100% identical to where we were moved (9526), I will never stay in this area of the ship again and will also never book a guarantee room again if there is a risk of being assigned this, or a similar, stateroom.

Notes: The location was convenient to the elevators and cabanas and very quiet since there was not a lot of through traffic. The cabin was great, standard Disney. However, the vibrations when the ship was traveling at close to max speed (22 knots) was intolerable for me. One night I couldn't fall asleep until they slowed down, and another night it actually woke me up. The entire bed was vibrating. It didn't bother my husband or son, but it you are sensitive to it, it may be a problem.

Notes: The Good: The room itself was great! The beds were very comfortable and the room clean. The room was right outside the elevators (AFT), and all we needed to do was go up one flight of steps, to Cabanas restaurant to eat or get drinks. The views of Castaway Cay were great from the room. It is on the Starboard side. Noise was tolerable. The not so good: A little tight for 4 people though. The shaking got to me a little bit. We went on an Eastern Caribbean Cruise and it was mainly after we left St. Thomas. From the time we left, until we docked at Port Canaveral. And some of this was when we were at sea. It would wake me up from my sleep. The weather was pleasant, so I am not sure why it was doing this.

Notes: I was worried when we were assigned this room but we LOVED it!! I am actually thinking of selecting it for our cruise in NOV. So convienent and quiet. It was also a great place to show off our door :) Loved being able to run up to Cabanas and grab a snack for the room. The vibration was strong when the ship was turing hard but only happened when docking at CC. The beam wasnt a big deal. Loved being so far AFT it was much quieter then mid ship. I also have to mention our steward Sana was amazing!!

Notes: This room was wonderful. Heard a little noise from Cabana's at times but it wasn't bad. Felt a little vibration at times. Very convenient to Cabana's and elevators/stairs. View is a little obstructed with the white steel beams and Cabana's above the verandah. Awesome view of Castaway Cay. Plenty of room! Loved this room. Wish I was still in it! Enjoy!

Notes: We loved this location. It is right beside the elevators but was not noisy. This group of elevators is the least busy and we always got one quickly. The verandah is not large but has two deck chairs. It is directly under the overhang which would be great if raining. There is a couch which turns into a single bed as well as a pull down bed. The main bed was very comfortable. Location is excellent. Directly below Cabanas but was not noisy. Quick walk up to drink station and pool.
