Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 1065 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 10C | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 07/16/12 | ||
Notes: This is a deluxe size interior cabin, clean and spacious with split bathrooms located midship on the lowest deck (deck 1 only has a handful of rooms so not a lot of traffic). It is a distant walk from everything so allot ample time to get places. Here's a small detail that no one really bother telling us. It is above some type of engine/machinery. By the time we were done unpacking and getting ready to go out and explore, the ship started moving. That's when we first heard an ear-piercing noise that lasted about 15 seconds and repeated every minute. We figure it would go away the second the ship picked up speed (kind of like waiting for a car to shift to the next gear, I guess). After about an hour we decided to call guest services and report the problem. They sent a maintenance person who, I could read in his face knew exactly what the next steps were (it took little to no explanation for him to realize the problem). Within a few minutes we were offered the same cabin type on a different deck. We went to guest services to pick up our new keys and notice on the list that our next door neighbors where being moved as well. So, what I suggest is either avoid this cabin altogether or make sure you get it at a substantially discounted rate because I don't know how long the noise truly lasts but 1 hour was enough for us. Didn't want to risk an entire 8-day cruise. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 1065 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 10 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 05/20/06 | ||
Notes: Was above the ocean quest, so a bit noisy at times but not unbearable. Had a hum at times, maybe from staff dumbwaiter? Was convenient to the elevators and tender doors. Was plenty room for 3. deluxe BR was nice, a bit small though. |

Notes: The room was good until about 4 a.m. when we were woken up by an incredible banging sound. We found out that it was a hydraulic door that the staff come and go thru setting up for breakfast. We mentioned it to the stateroom host and the next thing we know, we were moved. Gotta love Disney!! |
