Notes: This is a nice room from the look of it, but it is VERY noisy. We were assigned this room and ended up having to move after the first day due to horrible noise and a sleepless night. There is a hydraulic or motor noise that they tried to tell us was from the stabilizers, but it is LOUD and directly below the room. There are 3 crew decks below deck 1, so I have a hard time believing that the noise came from over 3 decks down. Anyway, don't book this room unless noise doesn't bother you. We've been on decks 2,5,6,and 7 and have always been happy and haven't had the noise we had here. We had a 12gty room and this was supposedly an upgrade, but I told DCL it was unacceptable and they should sell it cheaper than a cat 12 room. |

Notes: The Pro's it was convienent to get on and off ship, quick to get back to our room after coming back from port.
Cons... loud noises. At night it wouldnt bother you AS much as you were so tired you could sleep through it.. and Im a light sleeper. But it was heard through out the day even. Trying to watch tv was hard as it would disrupt what ever was playing and you could not hear a few seconds of what was said. Im not sure what the noise was we asked and the room stewards just said ya it goes off every now and then and tried to play it off. Asked to be moved and was told our cruise was sold out so no chance of that. It was overall an annoying and disterbing sound. |
