Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 1078 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 1 | Category: 9D | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 12/04/16 | ||
Notes: Great room. Last door on the left for staterooms on deck 1, right next to a crew entrance. However, we were never bothered with noise because of this. We were actually able to see more of our favorite crew members due to the proximity of our room.
There was some slight ship noise maybe once or twice a night but this was very infrequent and lasted all of three seconds. It never bothered either of us.
There was also more than enough room for just the two of us and I would definitely stay in this room again. |

Notes: I was surprised to find that I really liked this room a lot. We booked OGT and were given this room..have never stayed below deck 5 or without a a verandah. This room is in a very quiet location/hallway, very convenient for port excursions getting on and off, close to midship elevator and portholes were larger than I thought. You did hear some humming and the water swooshing along the boat but nothing loud and by the second day it was like white noise. The room is a bit darker than with a verandah but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. There was very little movement as compare to higher decks or aft/forward rooms. We stayed in a cat 7a secret verandah room on the very next cruise/same ship and that room had much more movement and made creaking noises at night. Great room...great location...great price |

Notes: Wonderful room. No noise even being next door to one of the main entrances for the crew. Very quiet corridor. No motion. Will definitely be booking this deck again. |

Notes: The room was not noisy to us. On the first night and the last night, we could hear the waves lapping against the side and we enjoyed the sound. There were faint mechanical noises at various times but none were annoying or interrupted our sleep.
Deck 1 is great on port days and the midship location was good too. It is a very quiet floor for foot traffic. We used the stairs even to get to deck 9 for the exercise and the elevators were rarely delayed.
The 2 portholes are small but it did provide adequate light. We prefer the larger single porthole but we received a free upgrade and were happy with the room.
