Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 11010

Notes: This was very roomy- we were a family of 5 for this cruise. The one draw back to this room is it was the handicap room. It did have a larger balcony which was great. This was our second time in a one bedroom suite- the first time on the newer ships. The one big problem was that there was not any drawer space! I am not sure if it was because of the fact that it was a handicap room or not. This was such a bummer because all of has had to live out of our suitcases for 7 nights. The location of the room was great and noise was not ever a problem.

Notes: Upgraded to this room at the port just prior to leaving. Very convenient, quiet location; close to spa, pools, and quick service food. Concierge lounge was wonderful, of course. The veranda is partially covered by clear plexiglass (?) on the upper portion of the balcony. Also, the 1-bedroom verandah immediately on the right juts out further than this one, so looking forward from the verandah is partially blocked. The room had several marks on the walls that need to be touched up, but otherwise, a lovely cabin.

Notes: Plenty of room for our family of 5 (including an adult sized teenager). Had a very comfortable queen sized bed, a pull out double bed and a drop down murphy bed (my 5'10 195 lb. son slept on that with no problems). When the couch was pulled out you had to climb over it to get to teh veranda, but it was really stable, I just walked across. LOTS of storage space, unpacked for all 5 of us and there was still room. TV is quite small and difficult to see from bed (was good for kids part of room to see). This didn't matter to us as we aren't really tv watchers, but if it's important to you, please note this. Separate toilet room/shower room was super nice. Bathtub is small, but was easy to use handheld shower to help my 2 youngest wash up and then they could sit (albeit tightly) in the little tub to soak afterward. Was very quiet, didn't hear any noise in halls. Had to go out to hallway and up stairs to get to conceierge lounge, not a big deal, but seemed like it was easier for those already on deck 12. Was easy to get to pool area, just walked across adult pool area and through. The veranda was nice, not huge. Had 2 chairs and a small table. Doors on this floor are not magnetic ;)

Notes: I upgraded from a Category 4A to this Concierge Family Oceanview stateroom with Verandah. As for the room, it was a little longer than the standard Category 4A and included the "extended" balcony. There wree 3 adults so we used the queen bed and the double convertible sofabed. The downside I found from the Category 4A single convertible sofabed, is that when the Concierge Category V sofabed is converted to the bed, it's a double bed and you need to climb over it to get to the Verandah. The decor was more than top notch. I took many pictures of the room and the decor. I have been on the Dream 2 other sailings in Category 4A rooms, and I can say that the decor in both room and in the hallways on Deck 11 and Deck 12, are very nice. With the raised Queen bed, ample closet and drawer and cabinet space, there was more than enough room for 3 large pieces of luggage, two carry ons, and 2 backpacks. The Rain Shower head was very nice! It was not small and I felt as though I was in the middle of a downpour! I never used the handheld shower head, but it was there. The bathroom amenities were all H2O brand. The location was perfect. The room was close to the forward elevators which meant getting an elevator was quite easy. I try to avoid the mid-ship elevators at all costs! The location was also near the Spa and gym. Outside the doors to the deck was Deck 11 and the "quiet" adult-only pool area. Concierge lounge just one flight of stairs up. The location was perfect. The concierge lounge was always our first stop in the morning and in the evening. The concierge staff, Rodgrigo and Melanie, were amongst the best concierges I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. I received an inaugural lithograph for the Disney Dream launch season the last night of the trip.
