Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 2000 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9B | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 03/29/14 | ||
Notes: We had a family of 5 (Wife and myself (mid 40s) daughter 16, sons 14 and 8)staying in 2000 and 2002 which were joining rooms. I was a little bit worried about being on the 2nd deck but when we saw the room, we knew it was going to be fine. No, it didn't have a verandah but it had a large port hole with seating inside. We had absolutely no issues with noise or motion issues anything else as far as that goes. Very convenient to the Walt Disney and Buena Vista Theatres. One level up to the Walt Disney Theatre and two up to the Buena Vista. Plenty of room for storage in the rooms, we had 7 checked bags and 5 carry-ons and had no issues at all. WE even brought several sets of snorkeling gear which take up some pretty good space. Plenty of closet space for all of our clothes and shoes and we all over packed and didn't use much of what we brought.
I did work out every morning and the gym is on deck 11 directly up the stairs or elevator. The ship is big but it was easy to get to wherever you needed to go quickly.
Laundry room access was fantastic for ironing shirts, dresses, etc. We even did one load of laundry ($2 to wash and $2 to dry)
Overall: Great room! Would certainly enjoy staying there again |

Notes: This room is the first forward room on deck 2. There is a door next to it for cast members/hosts and it is across the hall from the laundry room. It was a great location for us. Only a little bit of noise from the service door (usual door open/close sounds) and the access to laundry was great. It sits one deck below a theatre and we noticed no noise from above at all. We could walk up one flight (stairs were right across the hall) to get to theatre, shops and guest services etc. Access to elevators was perfect. We'd highly recommend this location |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 2000 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 11/18/12 | ||
Notes: This room was incredibly noisy, even compared to stateroom 2006 (the room our children had). It was also far more motion sickness inducing than 2006 as well. This room had more creaking noises at any given time. If that doesn't normally bother you, I'd still be forwarned of this room. The chains from the anchors as well as the wood panelling rubbing together was enough to wake us up at 5a.m. and not let us fall back to sleep any morning we were in port.
We loved being so far forward with the elevators, as the mid-ship and even aft elevators are far busier typically. We absolutely wanted to like this room, but we will never book something so far Forward again. We only rate it "average" because of the privacy and the elevators. Earplugs may make this room far more desirable. :) |

Deck: 2 | Category: 9B | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 03/31/12 | ||
Notes: We loved our cabin. One floor down from the Walt Disney Theater and shops. Right near the forward elevators which bring you straight to the adult only pool area which meant less traffic! The laundry room was across the hall. the room was perfect for our family of four and never felt crowded. We did not find the room to be noisy even though it is next to a service entrance. We heard the door close a few times in the am hours mainly when the ship was docking. We would book this room again. |

Notes: Great connecting cabin with 2002! At the end of the hallway with the laundry across. No noise or movement issues at all! |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 2000 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |

Notes: Nice room, a bit far from the elevators, but very quiet. Because of the location at the front of the ship the room was angled and there was a small loss of space in front of the porthole. |
