Notes: We LOVED this room. We did GTY and weren’t sure what we would end up with so I was nervous. I would 100% pick this room! We loved the porthole - I’m 6 ft tall and there was enough room for me to climb up in there and relax and watch the ocean go by. Also, this room was very quiet. I never take naps and I actually took naps on this cruise. You’re close to the restaurants too which is great. We only needed the elevator when going to floor 11. I heard so many people on the upper floors complaining of movement and noise and we didn’t experience either of those. Loved this room. Oh! And I think people felt bad for us being on the 2nd floor because we were pixie-dusted 12+ times! Such a great trip!

Notes: We had two cabins (2050 & 2052) for B2B Alaska/Pacific Coastline repositioning cruise for 11 nights and this room was an excellent location making it a short walk to everything. No noise noted the entire trip. The only negative is the room was warm at night as the air conditioning was basically shut off during these hours despite the thermostat being set to the lowest possible (this was an entire ship issue not just this stateroom), bring a fan with you.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2050 Condition: 5
Deck: 2 Category: 9B Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 11/03/19

Notes: The trim around our large porthole was loose, but fixed quickly when we reported it. The nice thing about this room was being close to the midship elevators, but not right at the doorway. Also, the room was quiet and very convenient to use the stairs to get to deck 3 for Lumiere's and Rapunzels, as well as guest services and the forward adult clubs.

Notes: Norwegian Fjord Cruise 2019. We grabbed this room last minute and were scared since it was one of the last ones left. It was great! Great condition, spotless window, and very quiet. Super close to stairs and elevator but I could never hear any outside noise. I wasn’t sure about being on a lower deck for the view but we couldn’t even tell. Would definitely stay in this room again!

Notes: I thought it was super convenient, right next to elevators. I was nervous that it was right below the lobby I would hear everything, that wasn't the case at all! We even took naps during the day uninterrupted. I will definitely request this room again!

Notes: When we booked this room, it had great reviews, then not too long before our cruise, I saw the review about the thump thump thumping in the night and I sort of panicked. By then, it was too late to change the room so we just went with it. Well, I'm pleased to report this room was very quiet. No thumping or bumping at all. My only issue was a couple of nights, some tweens spilled out of the Edge club into the elevator lobby and were very loud. The third time it happened, I went down the hall to tell them to please be quieter and it never happened again. I'm hoping that after the reimagining this fall, they move Edge to the arcade location like they did on the Magic, which would solve that problem. But overall, this was a fantastic room and I'm now officially a deck 2 fan! We loved the location mid ship - it was so convenient to everything. One floor up and you're in the atrium! The room itself overall was great, very clean and in great condition. We will likely try to book this same room on the Wonder or the Magic next time we sail a Classic ship. Highly recommended!

Deck: 2 Category: 9B Location: Mid

Notes: The cabin itself was wonderful and a perfect fit regarding space for the 2 women in my group using it. While I was leery of no longer having beds that split, it turned out great because we could essentially split the cabin in 2 regarding storage and sleeping areas and even close the curtains all the way at night and separate it even more. We like it dark for sleeping and found that a couple of bath towels placed at the bottom of the curtains blocked the light extremely well. The issue with this cabin was the regular 1-2 hour long intermittent banging each & every night that started around 3:30 am and kept us from sleeping. We eventually complained the next to the last night in the middle of the night when it occurred yet again by calling guest services who said they'd check with head of housekeeping and sent a bottle of wine to our room the next day. On the last night, when it occurred yet again on the very last night, I was on a mission to find out what it was! At 3:30 am, when woken by the banging, I got dressed and headed upstairs with my camera where I found the cleaning crew in the Wavebands bar vacuuming and bumping the vacuum against each and every booth every few seconds. Picture him backing up the vacuum and bumping it on the booth, then backing it up 2 feet and moving over and bumping it against the booth again. Let me tell you, there are a lot of booths in Wavebands! I then headed to guest services, where I was met by another housekeeping crew who was vacuuming also back there. I talked to the guest services crew about the issue, and he contacted the housekeeping head who did eventually talk to me in person that night after I returned to my cabin. I expressed my problem with the banging from their vacuuming method, but I don't think anything was really done, and the only fix is really to allow them more time to complete the vacuuming so that they weren't in such a hurry that they needed to bang the booth or the wall repeatedly! Due to this, I will not book a cabin on a deck that is under any public space that may have middle of the night vacuuming. I was a wreck after 7 nights of interrupted sleep due to this banging!

Notes: This was our third DCL cruise. On the first two, we had verandah staterooms on higher decks on Dream and Fantasy. I think the whole family decided that 2050 on the Fantasy was our favorite stateroom so far. We thought we might miss the verandah a bit (as we actually spent time on it when we had it before), but the porthole is huge, so there is no lack of "outdoor" light option or view of the water or ports, as applicable. We were also so busy that we ultimately didn't miss the verandah at all. These rooms are tucked away and almost seem hidden, but were frighteningly convenient to Enchanted Garden, the deck 2 Midship Detective Agency kiosk, the deck 2 Shutters photo kiosks (to view digital images made throughout the cruise), the atrium/lobby and shopping and theater front desk and on deck 3, the gangways for port adventures on deck 1, Royal Court on deck 3 and the midship elevators that go straight up to deck 11 for Flo's, the ice cream machine, funnel vision outdoor movie screen, soda machines and the pools. With so many of the primary activities of the ship occurring on decks 3 and 4 (main dining rooms, lounges, lobby activities, photography, guest services, shopping, theaters, etc.), we rarely needed an elevator unless going to the pool or Palo. We had been a little nervous about being so low on the ship and also being right under the lobby, but it was surprisingly quiet back in the stateroom hallway. We would request this room (or any room near it) again without hesitation.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2050 Condition: 5
Deck: 2 Category: 9B Location: Mid

Notes: Great stateroom. Located on the port side of the ship in the mid to forward area with easy access to both the midship and forward elevators. Stateroom sleeps 3 people. No noise. A/C works great. Has the new cabinet that replaced the steamer trunk during the Sept./Oct. 2013 refurb. We greatly prefer the steamer trunk to this new cabinet. Since they changed the steamer trunk, it might have been nice to have the lid-opening box coffee table (like on the Dream) instead of the same style coffee table pre-referb. The old hairdryer is still in the bathroom, but we found an additional hairdryer in one of the vanity drawers, which is nice to have as an option if you don't bring your own. All in all, a fantastic stateroom. & Our stateroom hostess, Aileen, was superb! We would definitely request her as well as book this room again.

Deck: 2 Category: 9D Location: Mid

Notes: This room was very noisy. What I thought at one time were kids running in our hallway was actually kids running above us. Able there I looked on the map and realized we were under the lobby. I would not stay in this location again. The large porthole was Great though. They pulled down bunk beds for my DS every night which he enjoyed. We weren't crazy about the split baths nor the room layout. We preferred the layout in the inside staterooms far better but again loved the porthole view. Noisy noisy noisy. Fyi

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2050 Condition: 4
Deck: 2 Category: 9B Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 10/20/12

Notes: Our family loved room 2050. The room is in a perfect location lower mid ship, so getting to the Atrium, Beat Street, and WD theater was "up the stairs and right around the corner." Despite being near the Atrium elevators and a teen club, the room was nearly silent ... quieter than quiet ... We are sensitive to noise and comfortable beds ... no problems here, very restful room. Comfortable lay out with the separate shower room and extra sink which is handy for two to get ready at the same time. Slight wear, which I could call "patina" shows, just as it does in the Waldorf, or the Rosevelt in NY. Room was spotlessly cleaned twice a day by Charlie B. He was outstanding and helped us refine our towel animal craft skills. Now the strange part, room 2050 was a very smooth ride. It was not until we got home that we even realized that we had sailed close by Hurricane Sandy ... the room is so close to the ship's center of gravity that we barely noticed. It was like sleeping in a hammock.
