Notes: We paid to upgrade to this stateroom after being assigned a 'noisy' cabin from our GTY12. We were glad we did. This is a nice quiet location - very little traffic past the door and no noticeable noisy above/ below or to the side of us.
Although it is in a fairly far forward position, it was still convenient for the theatre, the laundry, Titrons, Parrot Cay, Beat Street, Guest Services and disembarking to Nassau & CC. The lifts & stairs were also reasonably quiet at this end of the boat.
The room has a steamer trunk and the bed faces towards the aft of the ship. There is a large port hole window and split bathroom. There were no noticeable defects in the furnishings or fixtures.
Views were not particularly remarkable ; looking seaward at Nassau and although we looked beach side at CC, we could only see over to the far side of the bay.
The sea was VERY rough the night we left port - however, I felt the effects wherever we were in the ship that night - and our cabin was no worse than anywhere else IMO ! Thankfully, by morning the seas had subsided and everywhere (including our cabin) felt perfectly calm.
I would definitely recommend this room if a quiet location is a priority. I would definitely consider booking it again on a future cruise. |

Notes: We liked this room (though this was our first DCL so we don't have a lot to compare to). It wasn't noisy, as the end of the hall meant there wasn't a lot of foot traffic. We liked being able to look out the porthole. For Nassau and Castaway Cay, this room was on the non-dock side, so we had some more privacy than someone on the port side, where there would be a lot of people walking (this would hold true for Castaway Cay, but could change depending on the dock at Nassau). My mom did notice some noise on debarkation day since it was above the luggage compartment, but I didn't. It could be a bit rocky due to the forward location - I would probably choose an mid or aft location next time. It was very close to elevators, which made it convenient to get to the Quiet Cove pool (less convenient to get to Cabanas though, since that is the far aft section of the ship). And the staircase was the best way to get to/from the Walt Disney Theatre. The emergency drill was in the theatre, so we were able to sit down inside. Getting on/off at ports was also convenient since the forward gangplank was just down a flight of stairs. |

Notes: Deluxe Oceanview room with a window. This is not a large porthole window but a medium sized one. A small child still has no problem sitting in this window but its not the over-sized ones you normally see in pictures. Still a great room, booked a OGT room and this is what we got, i would defiantly go with the larger window or a verandah. Close to the enchanted garden restaurant and the main theater. Still a better room than any other ship in terms of size and layout. |

Notes: The room is quiet. Location is good. It is close to the elevators and gets pretty quickly to upper decks, the theater, shops etc. The stairs round the corner are convenient to the gangway for port access. I loved the split bathroom. Much better than the other cruises. The porthole is really big and worth the extra money. The sofa and bunk bed are good for kids and teens. |

Notes: Very convenient to the restaurants, atrium, guest services all on Deck 3 and 4. Take the forward elevators up to deck 9 and the Spa/Adult area (never crowded). It was also a quick walk down to Deck 1 for the medical clinic and gangway ramps for port days. During docking you could hear a little noise from the engine (grinding sound). The stateroom is right over the ramp where they unload the luggage, but it wasn't an issue since you are up early to disembark. No noise from above at all. Very quiet location at the end of the hall and no staterooms across from you. We had great views at Key West, Grand Cayman, and Castaway Cay. The room has a steamer trunk and lots of storage. It is a connecting room (to 2520). |
