Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 2540 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 07/28/18 | ||
Notes: Great room. Mid-Ship and just off the elevators. We loved how close it was to everything. One level above where you exit for the port, same level as Enchanted Garden and then one level below the main deck with the other two restaurants, shopping and guest services. It took us little time to get where we needed. It wasn't noisy as we thought it could be and it was super quiet. Being on a lower deck room also helped on rocky nights. I would re-book this room in a heartbeat. |

Notes: Wonderful location with easy access to Atrium, Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace dining rooms. Hallways is quiet even if it looks on the map to be near noisy areas. Some slight noises from the ship (it sounded like a helicopter flying near the ship at times!). The room has adequate space and a nice porthole for watching the waves roll by.
I'd rebook this in a heart beat if you want a bargain cabin. |

Notes: My daughter and mother in law stayed in this room and they loved it. It was really easy to find and my 6 yr old daughter had a very easy time going from our room (2038 on the other side of the ship)to hers. It is right by the hallway junction that leads to the elevator. On the eastern itineray (St. Maartan and St. Thomas) it had beautiful views of the bays. They would definately stay in it again. |
Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 2540 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 03/20/11 | ||
Notes: This room was in a great location. The way the Dream is laid out, the room is right by the elevators but it is tucked away from sight and sound. Obviously a lot of thought went into the design since the Enchanted Garden restaurant is located near by. No noise could be heard and you felt secluded. Very convenient to main lobby and port disembarkation. We did experience a major problem with our room. There seemed to be a leak coming from the bathroom near the stateroom entrance. On our first day we were delayed getting into our room because they had a blower trying to dry the carpet. Although our attendant did her best to make things right, it never seemed to get better. My first thought was sewage backup but there was no odor. Thank goodness. I did notice on our in-room vm that messages had been left with previous guests by guest services about this same problem. I was very disappointed that this problem had existed for several cruises and not been resolved. It was obvious Disney new about it but refused to address it. |

Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 2540 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 01/08/09 | ||
Notes: This room was really nice and large compared to the last cruiseline we sailed with! We loved the port hole and the storage trunk. The only downside is that it is a connecting stateroom and the unknown family we connected with had a baby that cried all night. Other than that there was little noise from the night club above, and earplugs took care of that. My DD's were next door in 2542 (non connecting room without storage trunk), and said they didn't hear a peep. |

Notes: I give this a 4 only because of the band noise above as the other poster mentioned. HOWEVER, I am a very light sleeper and once the music stopped, the room was so quiet. The most tranquil of all staterooms we have stayed in. We had the connecting room 2538 as well. We have always booked Cat 6's and this was a last minute trip and we had to settle for a Cat 9. We were thrilled to get them connecting once we arrived at the port. Very convenient location for character signings, midship dining, etc. Beautiful views in ports and CC. We have booked the same rooms for our next cruise! |
