Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 2643 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 2 | Category: 9C | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 12/23/16 | ||
Notes: Sleeps 4, with queen bed, convertible couch/bed, and ceiling pull-down bed.
We like the layout of the Deluxe Inside staterooms with the main, queen bed in the back of the room instead of the middle of the room.
Includes an actual mini-fridge. There are two USB charging ports at the desk and two built in to the clock on the nightstand in the far back corner. There are LOTS of dresser drawers and storage spaces. This room features a split bath: sink & tub/shower in one compartment, sink & toilet in the other.
Quiet hallway, out of the way from traffic. Still has convenient access to the aft stairs, including quick access to dinner in Tiana’s Place one deck above.
This room connects with 2645. We had two adults and a young child in one room and three tween/teens in the other room. Each child had a bed without sharing.
The ship noise and vibration was definitely VERY loud during docking. Not a major issue to us. The teens didn’t even complain. But those who value their rest during the docking times should consider another stateroom location.

Notes: We had 6 people in this room together with the connecting room, 2645. The location was very convenient--close to the aft elevators and only up one flight to the atrium. As others have noted, these rooms are very loud while the ship is docking. It didn't affect us, though, because we are early risers and were already awake both times the ship docked. |

Notes: Room was very noisy coming in to and leaving port. During our cruise we had a leak in the ceiling that required us to be moved to 2652. |

Notes: This stateroom was convenient to stairs and elevators. The room was noisy when we pulled out of ports and pulled into ports. The first night leaving the port the bunkbed did shake so we removed the ladder. When we were out at sea the bed or ladder did not shake. The last night of our 4 night cruise the room started to shake around 2:30 am and didn't stop until 5:30 am or so. I think when they use the thrusters on the ship this causes the shaking. We were so wiped out from going non stop all day long the shaking wasn't really an issue. The room was a nice and roomy. The bathroom being split really helped when getting ready for dinner. I found sending my son to the kids club while I got ready for dinner stopped a lot of him complaining about me taking too long. This cruise is amazing! A few shakes in our cabin was not going to upset us. |

Notes: Extremely Noisy cabin! We are good sleepers, and NEVER had stayed in such horrible place (veteran budget cruisers always in inside staterooms.) At 3AM, someone drags chairs across a room nearby, probably above... at 5AM the entire space trembles and the noise behind the wall is as someone is about to come through the wall with a chainsaw... and at 2PM (my child's nap time) they start hammering away until at least 5PM that we couldn't take it any more and left the stateroom for the pool.
I read the previous reviews and thought it could not be that bad... after all is a CAT 10, but IT IS THAT BAD!!! Pay attention to my and other reviews and ask for a different stateroom if you are still on time to do the switch - I would much rather have less room than no sleep! I have stayed in the wonder in a CAT 12 and was great! - At the Front of the ship same deck level... it isnt the level or the inside... its this cabin and its location. |

Notes: This room (and its connecting room 2645) had extremely noisy, squeaky bunk beds (even when retracted). Maintenance came in 2 nights in a row unsuccessfully--we couldn't sleep well the entire trip, even with ear plugs. |

Notes: We were assigned to 2643 for the 15-night EB repo for our cat 10 GTY. While we liked deck 2 a lot, as others have reported, 2643 is noisy when the ship is docking - specifically, using the thrusters. It was also noisy when tender boats were at the ship. The upside is that being toward the end of a hall, hallway noise was virtually nothing and access to the aft stairs & elevators was great.
Typically, you are awake when the ship arrives & leaves port so the thruster noise isn't "un-timely".
We wouldn't request 2643 again but if we were assigned there again for a GTY, we wouldn't be upset. |

Notes: Very noisy when pulling into ports. The whole room would shake in earthquake-like fashion and the noise was so loud we had to raise our voices to speak to each other. It was very convenient to the dining rooms but I would never stay in this room or location again because of the noise. We were awakened by it at 5 am as we returned to port Canaveral. |

Notes: THIS ROOM WAS NOT NOISY, ONLY WHEN SHIP WAS PULLING UP TO DOCK, THE SHIP MADE SOME NOISE. SOUNDS LIKE CREEKING NOISE.
LOVED THE LOCATION, & CONVENIENT'S OF IT. GREAT FOR GETTING ON & OFF THE SHIP. NEXT TO THE ELEVATORS, & STAIRS.
WE WERE 2 ADULTS AND ONE CHILD & HAD PLENTY OF ROOM. WAS VERY HAPPY WITH ROOM & LOCATION.
WILL LOVE TO STAY IN THE SAME ROOM IN NOVEMBER 05 |
