Notes: This stateroom was port side, midship. It was conveniently located to the elevator, stairs and the Buena Vista theater balcony. We noticed a little bit of noise at night, probably due to the proximity to the elevators, but it was not annoying. The balcony was larger--easily enough room for 3. The one downside is the partition to our left (between our stateroom and stateroom 5046) was only a partial partition, so we could see onto their verandah and vice versa. The lack of privacy would probably lead me not to get this stateroom again. I would choose the one to our right (5042) or another one that had full partitions on both sides.

Notes: I was assigned this cabin after booking an 8B GTY. It's a couple of doors off the hall entrance from the forward stairs, but generally it was not noisy. Occasionally at night there would be teenage noise with kids going to their areas for activities, but overall it was very quiet. Cabin size is more equivalent to the category 5 staterooms, and it has the regular-shaped tub of a category 5 stateroom - but you have an extended balcony, so that's why it's in the category 4 classification. It was really nice having two regular chairs and two half-loungers on the verandah - even if I only used one of each (the semi-lounger for sitting and reading and the regular one for putting my feet up. It's a port-side cabin, so you get a nice view of the undeveloped part of Castaway Cay, which I love. I don't know that it would be my first choice of cabin to book again - but that's more that a) I prefer to be higher and even more forward and b) I really don't need a verandah, especially as I travel solo. I'm just as happy booking an ocean view cabin and putting the savings towards a special excursion or another cruise! :) But overall it's a great cabin and if I had money to burn and was considering a verandah, I'd book it again.

Notes: We really loved this room. The location is a little far from the buffet but we enjoyed being close for dinners and shows. It's close enough we could easily run to our room as needed to get snacks or drinks. Would stay in this cabin again.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5044 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/29/13

Notes: Great room with a great location. No issues with noise. The veranda was large and private with a view from underneath one of the glass-bottom hot tubs several floors up. It was fun to watch peoples feet as they played. Very comfortable bed, lots of storage, the split bathroom was in great condition with everything in the room working perfectly. We had no complaints and would stay in this room again!

Deck: 5 Category: 5E Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 10/09/11

Notes: Great cabin size, extended veranda with a ton of room outside. This cabin location is close to the forward stairs/elevators and not too far from the mid-stairs/elevators either. Around the corner from the Buena Vista Theater balcony and Port Adventures desk. Plenty of room for 3 with a split bathroom and a full tub. Can be a little noisy outside the cabin door.
