Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5162 Condition: 4
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 07/09/16

Notes: We sailed with another family in connecting room 5164 and both loved the extended verandah's. As others stated, there was definitely vibration when travelling at sea, but to me it was actually very calming. I don't think I have slept better in any hotel setting! The location next to the stairs/elevators was awesome. There was no foot traffic noise at all since the room doors are actually around the corner. But this allowed us quick access to get to where we needed to go. The only complaint would be since the verandah is extended, there tends to be a bit more "stuff" that lands on the deck. Our friends actually had to call guest services to request to have their upstairs neighbors toe-nail clippings removed from the verandah!! Gross!! But all in all I would definitely stay in either of these rooms again.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5162 Condition: 3
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 02/07/16

Notes: We had connecting rooms 5162/5164. I would give both rooms a 3. The main issue was on nights 4 and 5. We were going quite fast, 21.4 knots w/ a 45mph headwind, so not great seas. On those two nights the bed vibrated extremely badly. One other dis member on board staying in room 10650 (10th floor but right above 5162/5164 if you look at the room map) also had the same issue. He described it as "vibrating like a cheap motel bed that you put a quarter in". Many people on the same sailing did not have this vibrating, it seems to be limited to this specific area of the ship. The other 5 nights were much better, but because of these vibration issues I would not book in this area of the ship again. However, if you aren't sailing very fast (so the 3 or 4 night dream bahama sailings) and the seas are calm you may not have this issue. I did like the extra big verandah and did not feel privacy was an issue as you could sit further back if you wanted privacy. Honestly I would think the verandah's on floor 6 right above the extended 5th floor verandah's had less privacy because we could see their entire verandah if we chose too, whereas we could hide under the eave on our verandah :) *note our sail date was 2/7/15 but I'm posting this late as I realized I only posted for the connecting 5164.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5162 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 09/20/12

Notes: Amazing stateroom. We loved it! We were literally right off the elevator. I was concerned about noise from the traffic going to/coming from the Kids clubs because the entrances were on our side of the ship but I didn't hear a sound the entire time. We even had one of the mystery detective card game "paintings" outside the door, and we never heard anything from it. We also didn't hear a peep from the night clubs below. We were located more over the jogging track, but we still never heard a sound. We had no noise from the engines. Very, very little vibration, hardly even noticeable. This stateroom has an extended verandah. Huge doesn't even begin to describe how big it is. It even had extra loungers that reclined back! Bonus!! Though it was a bit awkward that half of the ship could look down onto our verandah, but as long as we weren't doing anything embarrassing, it wasn't a big deal. Even though this stateroom is a Category 4E, we did not have the bed that came out of the ceiling, nor the round tub. Neither were an issue for us, but it may be for some, so just be careful when booking this category. We absolutely LOVED this stateroom and would stay there again!!!

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5162 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 02/12/11

Notes: Overall, we loved this room. The location on the ship was very convenient. We could take the aft elevators and shoot straight up to Cabanas and the pool. We could also go down 2 or 3 flights of stairs to get to the restaurants. We were close (but not too close) to the Oceaneers Club/Lab. We did not hear any noise from The District, but we did occasionally hear noise from the elevator/stairs area. The best feature of the room was the oversized verandah, but be aware: Even though these rooms are now category 4, they are NOT family-sized rooms. They are regular outside staterooms with oversized verandahs. Also, there is no pull-down bed in this room.
