Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 5502 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |

Notes: This room was pretty well maintained. The carpet was in two pieces though, the area by the desk & couch was newer and brighter than the section by the bed and closet area. Noisy is an understatement. We heard every matinee that played loud and clear! Simba was roaring right above my ears! Heard them moving the equipment from The Junnk Show at 1am. I would never stay in this area again. |

Notes: This cabin was extremely noisy. It is above the Walt Disney Theater and they practice at 2am. UGH! |

Notes: We love the forward location but will not cruise on deck 5 again. You can and will hear everything going on in the WD theater during the day. On the August repo cruise they did new shows and were rehersing for them until 1:30 AM a couple nights. The base was so loud that when I sat on the floor I could feel it vibrating. This was during the main song from Phantom of the Opera that was used during the magic show the next day. During the day we could clearly hear the matinees and other rehersals. When Aly & AJ were rehersing for their show my DD was dancing in the stateroom and singing along to let you know how well you can hear the music and vocals in this location. I would not recommend this area to anyone with young children who still nap in the afternoon due to the noise from the theater.
Other than this noise, we did like the location as it was very convenient to the kid's clubs and DS had checkout privs for the first time. It was easy for him to get to the room quickly...usually before they paged to let us know he was leaving to go to the room. The room size was the same as what we have cruised with before so that was fine...though a bit more of a challenge. If we can fit what we did for the 15 day cruise in the room, anyone should be fine with a 7 day. There were four of us with DD7 and DS9 at the time of the cruise.
At CC we had a great view of the island with the ship backed in. |

Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 5502 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 8 | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 05/13/06 | ||
Notes: This was a quiet room except you can hear the mantinee shows as you are right over the theater. Wasn't a big deal though. Porthole was great. Close to theater, kids clubs, and movie theater. Would stay there again. |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 5502 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 8 | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 12/08/05 | ||
Notes: This room was almost as far forward as you can go, so lots of motion. Same floor as the kids clubs, but a bit confusing for the kids to find. Porthole was nice size, but was frequently fogged, so looking out was difficult. It was very quiet. |
