Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 5636

Notes: Our saildate was Jan 11, 2017 but only 2016 was available to select on this site. Very quiet hallway for a sound sleep. Also no creaking ship noises in this room. Neighbors were all quiet. Super quick walk to the Aft Elevator shaft and could easily get an elevator up to the 9th floor deck outside or take the stairs quickly down 1 floor to walk on exterior deck or go to restaurants. Buena Vista Movie Theatre and Its a Small World Nursery and Oceaneers Club is closest amenity to this room and uber convenient. So if you have kids that you want to depart from, this is the hall for you. The ceiling is lowered on Deck 5 so that kids feel taller and like they own that floor. If there happens to be an emergency evacuation from this room, our meeting point was down 1 floor in the Animators Palette restaurant (which is my favorite place to eat, so that was cool to me). During Bahamas trips, the fireworks are shot off from this side of ship right outside your room so you can enjoy from your verandah if you don't mind missing out on the accompanying music. Also a good view of Castaway Cay when the ship is docked there. It is a navigators verandah so it is a balcony that is mostly enclosed (helps make it not so windy). We had 3 adults in this room (2 on the queen size bed and 1 on the sofa bed) and it was good enough for us. It's a split bath so someone can use the toilet and sink while someone else uses a shower/bath and sink. The only complaint to this room on this trip was not the room itself but at the beginning of the hallway there was a piece of a door frame coming loose over a cast member only door, but within 2 days the maintenance crew had spruced it back up again! Fairly quick turnaround!

Notes: Great room, loved the Navigator Veranda! This room is above Animator dining room and you can here the Flag Parade (only lasted a few minutes). Quite location otherwise. I will be booking this room again,I hope soon!

Notes: Great location. Very easy to get to dinner using the stairs. Easy to the lifts to get to deck 9. Not much traffic at all because of the limited number of staterooms on deck 5. The room itself had a few issues. The veranda door would stick halfway. We had to really push to open it all the way, and when we did it resisted with a loud squealing sound. The floor in front of the toilet room had something wrong under the carpet. It would give and click when stepped on. Lastly, the couch needs to be replaced. It is getting saggy. Overall it's a good room in a super location. It just needs a little TLC.

Notes: Great room. Loved the Navigator's Veranda, which is great for families with toddlers. We actually prefer this over a regular veranda we had last cruise. Room was perfect aside from rubber bands holding the TV remote together. Close to Aft Elevators and Muster Drill Meet Location. Very little movement. The very subtle vibrations actually helped our toddler sleep. It was like a giant baby swing lol.
