Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 4
Deck: 5 Category: 7A Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 10/02/16

Notes: The overall condition of this room was good and I liked the aft location. That being said I would not recommend staying in this stateroom. I have stayed in staterooms all over the ship and have never had a room that was this noisy when underway. I normally sleep great on the ship but the noise in this room kept both of us awake every night of the cruise. The first night was not too bad but still woke us up during the night. The noise sounded like there was a bird trapped in the ceiling and it was flapping its wings. For every other night of the cruise as the shipped rocked side to side it sounded like there was a woodpecker knocking on our ceiling. Basically it was an audio version of the Chinese Water torture. Neither of us could sleep through this noise. You could see in the ceiling panels where DCL tried to put in some shims to try and fix this knocking but needless to say, it is still an issue. We were assigned this room as a VGT. If you get this room on the Magic, I would do anything you can to get reassigned to another stateroom.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 3
Deck: 5 Category: 7A Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 05/01/16

Notes: This cabin has a navigators verandah and we LOVED the verandah. It had lots of privacy and shielded the wind. It was more like an enclosed patio with a large open air hole. The room itself could be noisy. It creaked all night and it is located across from some kind of utility room, so at times it could be loud. Ear plugs fixed this problem though. The room vibrated more than staying mid ship as well. We loved how close we were to dining and the drink station. It was a few flights up or down! Deck 5 aft is a perfect location to get around the ship and very close to the Buena Vista theater.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 7A Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 11/02/14

Notes: Great location, very quiet room. There was no noise from restaurants below, and room was located not far from elevator bank and movie theater. The condition of the room was excellent and it was obvious that the ship had recently been renovated - everything was in pristine condition.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 5A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 09/24/11

Notes: We absalutly LOVED this room, it was quiet and there was plently of space for 5 pieces of luggage. The toilet refused to flush on us 3 times during that week, but they were very quick about fixing it and it really cause us no real issues. And when the sea got a little rough the ceiling did creak more than on calm days...took a day to get used to and then it just ended up being relaxing. Next time we sail on the Magic, we're booking the same room. (next year its going to be the Fantasy :-)

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 7 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 05/02/09

Notes: My family of 3 loved this room! Only once did we hear anything from the theater, and it was only background noise in our opinion. Being towards the end of the hall we did not notice much traffic noise, either. The elevator isn't far from the room so this was an advantage too. The navigators deck was totally awesome! This added more than I could have imagined as we enjoyed watching as we pulled into port and just looking out over the sea. My husband, 18 year old daughter and myself had ample storage space between the closet and drawers. The only downfall I had with this room was an occasional odor of urine in the bathroom, but that may be common due to the septic system on ships. I would love to have this cabin again!

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 5640 Condition: 4
Deck: 5 Category: 7 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 11/10/07

Notes: Only issue is with noise - whenever they use the P.A. system in Animator's Palate, you will hear it really loudly in the room. Fortunately, this doesn't happen a lot, but if you're in the cabin during late seating dinner you will hear the show and music as if it were in your room. Otherwise? Excellent. Clean, great shape. And Violet (the room steward) is the best in the world!!!

Notes: LOVED this room. We upgraded from a GTY. We previously had a room w/ a balcony but, actually preferred this one because it was more private and saved us $$.
