Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 5646 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 6A | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 11/20/13 | ||
Notes: As a first time cruiser, I was a little worried that the stateroom was so far back on the ship, but it turned out to be a great location. It was kind of out of the way which meant there was hardly any foot traffic around the room.
Very quiet in the halls. Animators was on the deck below but I never heard any noise. The room is also four decks below Cabana's... we usually just took the stairs. Conveniently down the hall from the movie theater. The only noise really was from the thrusters in the mornings coming into port, but I actually enjoyed getting woken up by them so that I could run out to the verandah to watch the ship pull in.
No issues with the refurbishment. Everything in the room was in perfect shape. Plenty of room for two people and we hardly used any of the storage space. Only complaint was the verandah. We did a VGT rate so weren't sure which room we would end up in. But the verandah was very narrow due to its location on the ship. In addition to being narrow, it had the solid white wall so you couldn't really sit and enjoy the view. But it was still nice to stand and enjoy the view - especially when coming into port. We had a great view of Castaway Key and Key West in the morning off the verandah.
Would definitely consider booking this stateroom again. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 5646 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 6 | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 12/10/11 | ||
Notes: Very Quiet, gorgeous views from Verandah, convenient to restaurants, Solid white verandah on the small size, room next door flooded our bathroom. Would book again. Only noise was on last morning; rumbled as we tried to dock. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 5646 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 6A | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 10/29/11 | ||
Notes: This room was very quiet. Not too far from Aft elevators, at the end of the hallway. Verandah was basically useless as it is VERY narrow. Can't sit in the deck chairs without sitting sideways and with solid white wall there wasn't anyway to look out at ocean if you were sitting. Great view of Castaway Cay when docked. Still enjoyed the room though. |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 5646 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 5 | Category: 6 | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 11/06/05 | ||
Notes: Occasional noise from music/shows in Animator's which is directly below this room. The noise during the late seating might make this room unsuitable for children with early bedtimes (but didn't bother our family of nightowls).
Convenient to the aft elevators, kids' clubs, AP and Shutters on Deck 4.
Nice view of Castaway Cay
Solid metal verandah railing. Smaller than typical verandah as the verandah follows the narrowing curve of the hull. Two chairs and a small table were a snug fit.
This Cat. 6 room seemed much more spacious than a cat 10 interior room, but not as spacious as a cat. 7 navigator's verandah. |
