Notes: This was our 14th Disney cruise, one where we booked 2 staterooms for 1st time ever for our adult daughters. I was HUGELY disappointed as we walked into our stateroom 5664 on the Disney Fantasy on May 18th, 2024. The room smelled immensely like urine. We have never witnessed this ever. I walked into our daughter’s connecting stateroom and it was normal, smelt good like previous cruises. Contacted customer service, they sent hotel manager who looked at us like we were crazy and said the stateroom host would wipe down walls, spray something, bring air purifier, etc. Got back from dinner, there was an air purifier in room but not hooked up and back was off of it lying against the wall and room still smelled like urine. They ended up giving us a new stateroom host as she must have not been doing her job. She had left a book with notes in it in our room. So, I glanced at it and it showed where previous passengers complained about the smell as well. I ended up not sleeping in stateroom 5664, the room I paid for to sleep in. I stayed in cabin 5662. The new stateroom guy was nice but couldn’t speak a bit of English. It affected our stay in this room as he kept knocking on door as we were sleeping after we even told him someone was sleeping. Next day, contacted guest services and told them we could still smell urine the next day. They claimed the ship was full, but upon getting to Port terminal one of the Disney workers told me there were only 3600 passengers booked. This shop can host 4,000 passengers. After 3 days sailing, they finally steam cleaned the carpet. This is a pure shame we take our hard earned $ and put towards a Disney vacation and we are treated like this. In fact, when I was boarding this ship, walking the hallways down to deck 5, I noticed the carpet had looked like it had been flooded. Sure as the day, I got back home after our trip and googled issues for the Fantasy ship and there were posts where rooms on deck 10 had flooded Feb 2024 and they showed video footage of their rooms while walking in water. So now, my theory is there could be a connection. Disney only gave the passengers with the flooded room 15% off a future cruise or 17% of the existing cruise. This is a joke. Even Disney doesn’t care about us either. HUGE awakening for us as well. Getting ready to cancel next year’s cruise. If you routinely sail with Disney, it’s just a matter of time when this will happen to you. Oh, and one more thing, the vibration in room’s 5662 and 5664 was horrible as well. Made it hard to sleep.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5664 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 09/17/23

Notes: For the most part, this room was great. It was in good condition and the location was very convenient to the rear elevators while still having little foot traffic. The extended balcony is stellar, and because this is the last balcony on the side of the ship you also get great aft views. Unfortunately, we had serious noise issues. The connecting door was terrible, and the toddler next door woke us at 7 am every morning as if she was in our room. We could also hear the elevator ding, which was quiet enough it didn't wake us up but could get annoying when resting in the room. If you are not sensitive to noise, I think this is one of the best rooms on the ship. If you are, you're better off finding a room without a connecting door. We'd read lots of reviews that the connecting doors on Dream and Fantasy were more soundproof than on the older ships, but unfortunately that is not the case for this room.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5664 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 4E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 03/04/19

Notes: This is a gem of a cabin. It has an EXTENDED verandah and is the last verandah before portholes on the aft starboard side of the ship, curved railing. This means there is an UNOBSTRUCTED VIEW to your right that is beautiful. Also, no verandah below so a closer more beautiful appearance of the water, imo. It is above the curved hallway that goes to Evolution. We NEVER heard any noise. Not once. It is about 4 doors aft of the hallway opening to the aft stairs. Solid wall across from the door. Very convenient to and from while still feeling private. Cabanas is straight up the elevator to 11, kids clubs right across the stairs, Animators Palate 2 floors down, adult section 1 floor down. You do feel vibrations when reverse thrusting into ports, about 15 minutes. Much of the ship feels this. Motion was minimal, often none at all. We may have had a smoother cruise than usual. Note, we were on the DREAM. The Fantasy *may* have a general vibration issue felt in the aft that they need to fix in dry dock. Would suggest researching this to see if still accurate. This room only sleeps 3. The reduced space goes toward the huge verandah. The room is on the starboard side of the ship relative to the nearby kids club (which is port-side), and in a dead end hallway, so not a lot of traffic. My son checked himself in and out of the kids’ club all cruise long. My phone would ring to let us know via auto message and 10 seconds later he’d be opening the door. Perfect. If your kids use the club, do not hesitate to grab this awesome room. 5 stars.

Notes: This was my 2nd Disney cruise & 2nd time staying in a 4E. The best verandah to relax and enjoy the view! 5664 is the last 4E cabin on starboard side. It is rather large with a whitewall on the left, dividing your only verandah neighbor, 5662 (btw- these cabins connect). There are 2 deck chairs & 2 reclining chairs along with a side table. The clear front walls curve around to make the end so there is nothing to block your view of the beautiful sunsets. Great view of CC too! This cabin is quiet and has plenty enough room & storage for what it sleeps, 3. The bathrooms are split making it much easier for multiple people to shower and dress. It's very convenient to the aft elevators so getting to other decks is easy. Cabanas is just above on deck 11. We would walk through Cabanas to get to pool area. We loved this cabin so much we booked next years cruise according to this cabin's availability!

Notes: I never heard any noise. Room was excellent. It has an extended verandah and its on the end so it has a curved verandah that also faces to aft of ship. There is an additional rail halfway out of the verandah. The only reason I can think of why its there is because a piece of metal extending out and they didn't want people tripping on it?
