Notes: We loved this room. Melvin, stateroom host, was great. Lots & lots of storage space. We were a family of 4, kids are 12 & 9, and I found there was space for everything I packed, plus I had room left over!! Suitcases fit under bed. Very close to laundry. Porthole was huge. Very very quiet. I would choose this room again in a heartbeat.

Notes: We did the Western Caribbean 7 night cruise. The laundry was very close. Lots of storage in the room. As its far forward there is no noise in the halls. Its also close to the Walt Disney Theatre. Our room host "Melvin" from Honduras was great. We had friends in a different area of the ship and Melvin was much better at towel animals, and keeping the room perfect. The room faces away at Castaway Cay but faces the city in Grand Cayman when tendering, as well as it faces the city at Costa Maya. Everything worked in the room, but there is no pull down bunk. The window seat is great for kids. This room was very nice, and the entire cruise was great.

Deck: 6 Category: 8D Location: Forward

Notes: Overall very nice room. It's very far forward, so yes you do feel some movement. Also, when we were docking at a port, there would be some noise and vibrations. It'a long, narrow room with a split-bath. It sleeps 4 with the sofabed and a murphy bed that folds down from the wall. My kids were disappointed that there was no "bunk" bed from the ceiling. There really should be more detailed info like this for EACH stateroom on DCL's website. Also, when the bed is down, it makes it really tight in the room especially since there is really nowhere to keep the large chair they have in the room. It is very close to the guest laundry room, so that was a convenient plus. The porthole window was nice and large and the kids could easily fit sitting "inside" the window. It's port side, so not very good views at Castaway or even while leaving Port Canaveral. Queen bed is very comfortable. Could have used a little more storage space in the room, but that goes for just about every room on every ship. But I think having the wall bed as opposed to the ceiling one causes you to lose a lot of room.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 6010 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 8D Location: Forward

Notes: The room was great. I loved the huge window and it was quiet. But being that far forward, we did feel movement. At one point my husband got up in the middle of the night just to go stand mid ship. The crew said it was a smooth sailing so it's just part of being that far forward. Next time we'll do that catagory just more mid ship!

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 6010 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 8D Location: Forward

Notes: Very forward, just one more cabin before the cabins facing the front of the ship, so very low hallway noise. No noise from above. When leaving/docking there is some engine noise and shaking, but brief and not terrible. After being in cat 9 on Wonder, this was much more spacious with a lovely large porthole, although to call it a window seat is a stretch -- you can only sit on the small ledge if you are a child or very narrow adult. Bath is split with the round tub and that's much nicer with no wet shower curtain hitting you. Room had some minor issues like clothesline connection was laying by the sink, having come off prior to our arrival and not replaced during our trip. Tub stopper also not attached, laying on the side of the tub. Some kind of issue with wet carpet in the entryway, which was not visible, but discovered once you walked over it and got your feet wet. Not convenient to beverage station, but otherwise, not bad -- theatres very convenient and laundry right around the corner. In terms of views, faces away from Castaway Cay.

Notes: NOt noisy. Plenty of storage. On port side, so no view of castaway cay, but a great view of the sea.
