Notes: Fantastic stateroom super convenient to forward elevators. Zero noise or vibration issues. Motion in heavy seas was not bad. Highly recommended.

Notes: First off, the Disney Wonder was an amazing ship. Going to start with the pros then get to the cons of room 6032. First, I loved sleeping in this certain room because your head was pointed in the direction the ship was moving. (main bed) As far as noise is concerned... the only time we heard noise was when other kids went running down the halls, and the only time we heard our neighbors was when we were outside on the verandah. The door lock however was an issue. It would not lock itself after entering the room, or leaving sometimes. Meaning, over half the time for the first 2 days, when you used your KTTW card, the door handle would remain unlocked from both inside, and outside. Anyone could have come and gone at their pleasure. The first time I reported this issue it was not fixed. The 'carpenter' couldn't find anything wrong with the door. The next day our room host found he could just walk into our room without using his key. He then called someone back down to fix the door. After that, it was found that the electronic locking thing had failed, and was repaired from that point on (yes, it is indeed fixed). The great thing about this room was in Castaway Cay. The ship had backed into the Pier, leaving our side of the ship towards the pier and island. It was such a stunning view! The curtains by the verandah were awesome as well. There are 2 sets there in that one spot. The heavy set pretty much blacked out all outside light if you were trying to take a nap at any point during the day. It was wonderful. The room size for a family of 4, considering you're on a ship was of good useful size. We were able to unpack all our clothes and store our bags underneath the main bed, and had plenty of room for our family to get dressed for activities, and show's, and dinners. Some of the cons, the floor sounds of kids and people running up and down the halls was quite loud at times. Obviously the door was an issue, but was fixed. I was kind of blown away by all the nicks and shoe scuff marks on the walls by the bed, and of other various spots of the room. Yes, we know a ship in rocky seas move the ship, but the sliding doors on the closet kept sliding open to a point, then banging back into place. There was velcro on the top corner of them, but it was again, obviously worn out. If you're an avid Disney Cruiser, and are into magnets, if you do use this room, please take note, if you use magnet paper type magnets, it probably will not stick. We ended up having to use stronger magnets to hold our magnet paper magnets on. Silly con yes, but still a con, to us anyways. (A few of our magnets even disappeared on this cruise too) Our room host wasn't all that friendly, nor was he mean or rude or anything... When we did see him, all he would do was say hello. He wouldn't engage in a conversation, nor would allow for one. We weren't impressed on how the room was turned down, or made ready every day. It was probably the same quality of a Hilton... nothing to blow your socks off. Maybe our room host was just having an off week, or was something, but he did make sure we had clean towels at least. Our Towel (gomie) was indeed in place every night after dinner. The only setback, (yes it's stilly I know) was we didn't get the monkey. We really wanted to see the monkey. All in all, the room was decent. It was a little loud at times because of the foot traffic, and maybe because it was very close to the forward elevators, but I wouldn't say it was fabulous. In my mind it was decent.

Notes: This was NOT a noisy room. We loved the location- easy to get to the Kids Club (just down a flight then to mid ship). Easy to walk up to decks 9 or 10 (hey- if we hike the stairs we can eat more, right?)! No special views but in Alaska, every time you look outside you see something pretty! We felt there was enough room for our family of four. The bathroom floors are looking a little tired but that is really the only slightly negative thing I noticed. There is a laundry facility on this level which is nice but it is on the opposite side of the ship and back towards aft.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6032 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 01/15/05

Notes: Very convenient to elevators and stairs. Despite the "busy" location, there was very little hall noise. More than enough room for 2 adults, 2 kids (15 & 10).
