Notes: Location was absolutely amazing. If you are traveling with kids, the Oceaneers Lab on level 5 is barely 30 steps away via the stairs. Atrium just 2 levels of stairs down.
We did find the room to be quite noisy from people walking past, but don’t think it was due to the elevators being close, just normal noise from being in a central place. It didn’t bother us but it was definitely noticeable.
The room was large enough for us 2 adults and 2 kids under 8. The kids loved the bunk beds. Plenty of drawers to fit our clothes and lots of room under the main bed for luggage. There were some rusty spots on the wall in the verandah, but you’re not looking in anyway. The view from the Sydney port was of the Opera House, not too shabby at all!
Unfortunately on our last morning just before debarkation, the toilet flush was intermittently delayed in working. As in 5 minutes between initiating and the actual flush. However I’m sure the staff were on it quick.
Overall we had a comfortable cruise and would stay in the same room again in the future! |

Notes: This was a very convenient room, port side, closest to and forward of the mid-ship elevators, but convenient to forward elevators. We were far enough from the elevators that we didn't have noise drift up the hall. It was pure luck but we never heard loud people in the hallway, adjacent cabins, or even on veranda. The lifeboats below us were never an issue - if we wanted to look straight down there was a gap. But most times we were looking out over the lifeboats. At Nassau we looked down on the dock to see people coming and going. A large Carnival ship was docked next to us and obscured any other view. At CC we looked down on the dock again and the uninhabited side of the island which was fine with us since we got to see docking, loading and other activity. The cabin has a regular tub/shower combination. |

Notes: This was a great room, conveniently located right by the midship elevators and stairs. I was concerned about traffic noise from the stairs/elevators but that was not an issue at all.
We found the room spacious enough for 2 adult and 2 kids. The verandah makes the room feel more roomy.
The only concern we had was a fairly loud pump/banging noise around 4 a.m. every night that disturbed our sleep. The kids slept right through it but it bothered DH and me. |

Notes: LOVED this room. Location is great - midship - I felt like we were close to everything. I noticed a little noise on our night headed towards the Bahamas but it was more like white noise - kind of helped us sleep. Plenty of room for my husband and I and our 3 and 5 year old boys. Couch turns into a bed and then we had a bed pull down from the ceiling. Curtain seperates adult bed from kids beds. Swivel flat screen TV could be on our side of curtain or kids side - loved the 10+ channels of Disney movies! Split bathroom was also nice. Our view when docked at Castaway Cay was away from the beach. Laundry Room was on opposite side of ship. Verandah was great and no worries about kids getting out there on their own - lock was very high up on door. I'd love to get this room again but would probably request same room on opposite side due to laundry room & Castaway View - either way - the cruise and room were FANTASIC! |

Notes: This cabin was in an excellent location. Very convenient to the Club and the Lab. I only heard the banging noise very briefly off and on for a few minutes one day.
This was our first DCL cruise after experiencing several cruises on two other lines. Although DCL advertises its cabins as more spacious, it didn't seem that way to us. The split bathroom took a lot of space which could have been better put to use in the main cabin area. It was cramped for 4. There were only a few inches between the end of the bed and the wall. The bed was kind of lumpy. |

Notes: Four of us, me, my husband, DD13, and DS11, stayed in this room and LOVED it. The location cannot be beat. The room was large for a cruise ship, the only time the four of us were really together in the room was for sleeping. I would definately book this room again. I was worried about noise with it being by the mid-ship stairs and elevators, but it was never an issue. Also, there was no stateroom directly across the hall from us, just a wall. |
