Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6069 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 11A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 09/15/19

Notes: The condition of the cabin itself was very good, and the location was great (mid-ship and no more than 3 decks above or below many key areas on the ship. The flat screen TV was in the desk and faced the couch by default, but could be rotated to face the bed instead, which was nice. There was a cooling box, which seemed fairly new, but it didn't get nearly as cold as a real fridge. The main drawback of this cabin was noise. There was a near constant fan/machine rumble (maybe from a nearby air conditioning unit or fan). It wasn't overly loud, but it was certainly there and unavoidable when trying to sleep. Luckily I had earplugs which hid the noise enough for me to sleep at night. This cabin is directly over the main atrium, and once I heard music coming from there, but otherwise there wasn't any sound intrusion I noticed, other than the aforementioned rumble. This is a standard cabin, not deluxe, thus no split bath and no steamer trunk for storage. There was a decent amount of storage but with the maximum 4 people it would be really tight. The tub/shower area also felt very small. It was hard not to brush up against the shower curtain while showering in the narrow space. And while some of the bathroom fixtures looked worn (i.e. lived through many cleaning / scrubbing cycles) the plumbing all worked as it should, so no complaints about that. The bed was super soft and plush, which I love and am glad to have on DCL. The current beds are much softer than the previous generation of DCL beds, and I think the latest ones are a great improvement over the previous ones.

Deck: 6 Category: 11 Location: Mid

Notes: 5th cruise. First time on this deck. It was very close to the midship elevator which was nice. Noise level was very low. Ship movement was barely noticed.
