Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 6088 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 4D | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 03/14/15 | ||
Notes: Noisy? Yes. Running children could be heard up and down the hallway outside. No noise from cabins on either side. View looking down is of the lifeboats. Shower water pressure and temperature were perfect. Automatic door opened quickly and closed slowly. Very noisy if you were coming in late and someone in room was asleep. Room has slight odor (methane gas?) when you walked in, but you quickly got used to it. Some hallways had this same smell. Temperature controls were perfect. Easy to adjust to a comfortable temperature. Railing coating was peeling all the way down the line from stateroom to stateroom. This left exposed fiberglass which could get into your skin if you leaned on the rail. Beds were very comfortable. Refrigerator had to be turned all the way down to keep things cool. Room attendant (Alit) was awesome! Towel animals and chocolates every night with our navigators. Room was kept very nice and serviced promptly. We were very comfortable with 3 adults and 1 child in a wheelchair. This room sleeps 5. There is a connecting door to stateroom 6086. This is a handicap-accessible room with a roll-in shower with a shower curtain. Very spacious room and bathroom. More than enough storage everywhere. Light switches took some training to figure out how to turn on and off. They are rocker switches and you should practice before it is late and you end up turning all the lights on, rather than off (lol). |

Notes: Excellent location near mid-ship elevator. Very quiet. Handicap accessible room is extra wide (perhaps 50% wider than normal) but does not have a split bath. |

Notes: There were 2 of us in this cabin. There was plenty of room for storage of our suitcases and clothes, and we never felt cramped. Balcony was a nice size with no obstructed view. The only thing that really bothered us was the size of the shower. Every time you make the slightest movement, the shower curtain plasters itself to you! That is probably in every cabin, though. Room 6088 is mid-ship, although I would have liked to have been just a little closer to the elevators. We didn't notice any extra noise or extra movement of the ship. We wouldn't hesitate to choose this cabin again! |

Notes: When I arrived, the hallway stopped/was blocked after my room for construction. There was banging/work going on, but once the cruise started I never heard it again. I enjoyed having the verandah. I thought the room was centrally located for myself. Convenient to the elevators and stairs. Never really felt the motion of the ship, even sleeping through a thunderstorm at sea. Quiet at night. I thought there was enough room for one person and probably even two people. It had a single large bed and a steamer trunk. Nassau view was of the other ships in port/Nassau city side, Castaway Cay view was of the dock. I would stay in this room again. |

Notes: We heard absolutely no noise the entire cruise. It's not the most convenient room, as it's not very close to the elevators or laundry room, but that wasn't a big deal for us. When docked, we were facing Nassau, but away from Castaway Cay. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in this room again. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6088 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 01/10/04 | ||
Notes: It was midship to slightly aft portside. Very convenient to everything (decks, elevators, etc) and the verandah was great to have. No recess in the wall to put the steamer trunk in, but did not find it inconvenient at all. The wall opposite the bed contains electrical wires and such and this is the reason for no recess. Bed layout is your head is facing forward with your feet to stern on the right side as you enter the room. There is an inside cabin directly across from you and the laundry room is on the exact opposite side of the ship across from 6588. Very clean room and would definitely stay in this room/area again. |
