Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6150 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5A | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 08/07/23 | ||
Notes: Our family of 3 stayed in this room last week - it has definitely seen better days. We were initially greeted with a verandah door that wouldn’t fully close and/or lock, which lead to about 1 foot of carpet being damp in the room. Later that night when we pulled out of port, we noticed that there was intense vibrations (which, the feeling alone wouldn’t have been that bothersome) that caused the ceiling to make loud clicking sounds throughout the night. The vibrations were so violent that the light fixture actually shook out of the ceiling over night and fell down over the bed. The electrician came to fix the light and the engineer team added a few more wedges into the walls/celinings. However the noise continued and worsened over the course of the cruise. On our first port day, we noticed that our stateroom toilet would not flush (this was not due to clogging). Our stateroom host said it’s normal for the rooms to have a 10-15 minute flushing delay when in port, which is very inconvenient. We continued to experience this on our subsequent port days. Lastly, on day 5, when we closed our stateroom door the whole manual lock fell out. Would not recommend. Our family also had 6154 for our elderly family members and we would recommend that room, aside from the flooding that leaves the verandah unusable for anyone that needs accessibility. |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 6150 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Aft |

Notes: This room is no different than the rest of the 5D category. One interesting thing. This room is listed in the booking system as "obstructed". We did not find it to be obstructed. We were just above the life boats at the end of the row. An interesting thing, I was really nervous about my son who climbs everything. The deck below us was extended, had he decided to climb he would have only fallen down to the next deck (little consolation, but better than over board). We could look down with no problem and see the ocean. We were are family of 4 with 2 kids. Our 11 y/o who is 151cm tall was able to fit on the bed. She is growing like a weed, It won't be long before she will not fit in the bed. We found that being at the aft of the boat was pretty handy for getting places. Also we were really close to the kids clubs which made things really convenient. The aft elevators were not as busy generally, also they open directly into Cabana's for breakfast. There definitely was vibration from the engines but for my husband who fly's all the time he found it soothing, kids didn't care. Overall a great room, the key was our attendant, Lyndon you rock! |
Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6150 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 05/12/13 | ||
Notes: Great stateroom. Loved having a verandah. Had 4 in the cabin. DSs (22 & 17) slept on couch fold out and bunk with no problem (both over 6-foot). No noise issues. We could hear the engine and feel some shaking when docking at Castaway Cay, but it was minimal. Great view of Nassau in port and could see Castaway Cay pretty well (about straight up from the aft gangway). We liked it. |

Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6150 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 04/25/10 | ||
Notes: The room was convenient to all aft locations on the ship (Beach Blanket Buffet, beverage station, Palo, Parrot Cay, Animator's Palate). The verandah was larger than most since this stateroom is on the curved part of the ship (and also, it was a solid wall verandah). We heard very little noise from outside our stateroom as this room is pretty far aft, and there isn't much traffic that far back. We like deck 6 since you can walk up a few flights to the top decks, and down a few flights to the restaurants and such. Would definitely stay in this room or this area again! |
