Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 6182

Notes: I have sailed in this stateroom 3 times with the last being 8/20/18. I love this stateroom. The size is nice, the verandah is nice. The description says blocked but it is up to your knees and only if you are laying on the ground the view is blocked. Nice being in the aft, close location to elevators and stairs and laundry is only one floor down. Noises are minimal and nice side to see Castaway Cay.

Notes: Very nice aft room sleeping three. It is category 6B due to the white wall, which was all of a foot high and provided a nice foot rest, but no obstruction of view even while sitting or inside the cabin. There's significant engine noise and vibration during docking, but I didn't find this a big issue as generally this occurs about the same time you need to be getting up. Plus, I enjoyed watching the docking procedures. I never noticed the engines while we were under way. Nor did I notice any significant movement from the sea. Only downside I saw was the relatively long walk to the mid or forward areas. That's balanced by the aft elevators going directly to Cabanas, which is most people's first stop of the day.

Notes: Other reviews complained about the engine noise at the rear of the ship, but I only noticed this when we we docking. It was nice to know, so my wife & ran to the verandah to watch the docking. We were on the dock side of Nassau & Castaway Cay. We traveled with friends who had the adjoining room #6184. The adjoining room open door was nice to get a full room photo (stepping back into the other room for a larger field of view). We particularly enjoyed the verandah for some of the most beautiful sunsets & watching other ships. Our refrigerator kept our wine & bottled water very cold. There was one small annoyance with the room. There was a small vibrating noise under the safe. I never travel without duct tape. One small piece of tape solved this. (actually my wife didn't even hear this noise) The hallways were quite without much traffic & close to adult club area. After fumbling off the elevator a few times, I made up a rule to remember: Exit the elevator, face the staircase, take a left to the hallway & make a left again, couple dozen steps to your room. Same for the front elevator, just a VERY LONG hallway walk. I would recommend this room to others, in fact we booked a January 21st 2017 trip on the Disney sister ship Fantasy to the Western Caribbean with the exact same room!

Notes: Quiet cabin location as there are only a few rooms aft so not much passageway traffic. Short walk to aft lifts (so a quick trip to Cabanas on 11 is a breeze) but a long one to midship. And the walk the forward areas like WDT are far far away as this is a big ship. Can definitely feel some vibration (props?)but nothing that will keep you awake. Learned to pad the extra hangers in the closet to prevent their rattling. Nice veranda with half-white wall that didn't affect our view in any way. I wouldn't hesitate to book this room again.

Notes: Loved this cabin! Plenty of room for my wife and me. Some vibration first night but did not bother us. Knee high Whitewall on veranda. Did not effect our view or enjoyment at all! Great views of Cayman, Costa Maya, & Cozumel! Convenient to Cabanas, Palo, and main dining. Far walk to forward areas.
