Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 6188 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 6B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 11/14/16

Notes: We loved this room. The extended verandah was so nice and we could see so much. It only sleeps three, and the three of us had plenty of room. There was some vibration, especially on the first night, but it wasn't enough to bother us. Great view of the CMs tying up to dock and releasing us at Castaway Cay. Aft elevators and stairs were convenient and rarely crowded. It's a bit of a hike to everywhere, but we were grateful for the extra exercise.

Notes: The cabin itself is pretty much the standard 4 person cabin w/ verandah. The awesome part is how large the verandah is and the open view above and below. We had a chaise lounge and two chairs. It was pretty cool being able watch as we backed into ports. Especially our panoramic view overlooking Castaway Cay. We could also see Dumbo and Timothy on the stern from our verandah.

Notes: This was our first cruise - a 5 night to Nassau with double dip at CC. It was me and my sons (8 and 5). My husband did not come so this room was perfect as it sleeps 3. My older son slept on the sofa bed and my younger son and I slept on the queen. It was not loud in the sense that we could not hear anything from the neighboring rooms and they were both occupied. There was some vibration on the first night and one other night - whenever we were really moving, but it did not keep us from sleeping. There was some sway on those nights too. The verandah was awesome and large and I would not cruise without one, particularly with small kids that got into bed and asleep pretty early. I would just slip out there and read and marvel at all the stars in the sky. We did not go to the Pirate fireworks and could see just bits of them from the edge of the verandah as we were on the port side, perhaps you could see more starboard. Being aft, you had "front row" seats for the maneuvering of the ship into CC and Nassau - we woke up early on these mornings and sat on the verandah watching. I would absolutely book this stateroom again, in fact I rebooked while aboard but since hubby is coming this time, we couldn't do 6188 again but chose the same room on deck 9.

Notes: This was our first time on a Disney cruise and we loved it! 6188 is a fantastic stateroom; the extra large verandah provides ample space to relax and the room is in great shape. It felt very easy to navigate the rest of the ship from our room and the aft elevators were rarely crowded. Since you're located all the way back, the views of Nassua and Castaway Cay are magnificent. We did feel some vibration from the ships engines while we were underway our first night but since you're hustling down to Nassua, this really isn't a surprise! I didn't find the noise or vibration to be bothersome in the least. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept like babies. Both our suitcases fit underneath with no problems. I loved the extra storage in the coffee table trunk but I would have liked a few drawers for clothes. I fully intend to book this stateroom again for my best friend's vow renewal cruise in 2018!

Notes: Loved the extra large deck but this room was very noisy with lots of vibration on the 1st and last night. I am a very sound sleeper but kept me awake both of these nights and woke me both mornings we docked at Castaway Key. It was also a very long walk to most locations. It is an connecting room and we heard the people in the next room alot. I could listen to entire conversations and television shows! This was my 5th cruise and the room was the noisiest.

Notes: Loved it! First time cruiser. Originally had Cat. 8D GTY, but was upgraded. I agree w/ Stateroom no. 6190 reviews. I would not recommend 6192 or 6190 due to the flag whipping around while in port. You do feel the vibration when it is about to dock but, hey, it's time to wake up anyway. There is a definite sway when the ship is hauling it to the Bahamas. Bring bonine tablets. Second day, took one while in port and was fine. Great views when in dock since the ship backs in. Plenty of storage. Refrigerator is small but enough to hold cans and bottled waters. Handicapped room next door is huge so you really do not hear much noise from 6186 which is the corner room. Verandahs have clear plexi and white sidewalls which offer privacy. Has dual railings so felt safe. Good location because does not get much traffic. Large verandah. Plenty of room. Next cruise, I would want to book this stateroom.
