Notes: We had both 6190 and 6192 connecting rooms. I stayed in 6190, but will post a few comments about 6192 in a review of that room as well.
The room is itself is pretty much the same as all other DCL verandah rooms that I've stayed in so I'll focus on a few differences. The location is at the back of the ship, which makes access to the adults area on deck 4 as well as AP very easy. It is a longer walk to the lobby, RP and EG. We generally used the aft elevator up to Cabanas on deck 11 for breakfast and to get to the pool. I have to say that I don't really like having to walk thru Cabanas to get to and from the pool and most times walked to midship before going up.
The major plus for this room is the extended verandah, which I loved. It comes with 2 loungers and 2 chairs plus a small table. It was nice to be able to lounge and watch the ocean go by, especially for sunsets (for western Caribbean sailings you head east 3 nights in a row so get a great sunset view). The verandah has a large overhang from the deck above so is in shade most of the time. In addition to be connecting doors in the stateroom (to 6192), there were connecting doors on the verandah to each side. It was nice having the outside opening to bounce between verandahs.
The vibration in the cabin is quite severe when the ship is backing up. This really only happens during docking, as we back into Jamaica and Castaway Cay. Also turning around when arriving at Port Canaveral at 5:30am was quite a wake-up call. During normal sea times, I didn't notice any additional vibration.
The cabin had a small rectangle shower, different from the round ones that I got used to (last 2 cruises were on Magic and Wonder and I forget the configuration on the Dream). The extra length was nice, but there was a definite lack of headroom. I'm 6-2 and could not stand up straight without hitting the ceiling. I do not remember this on other cruises, so I'm not sure if this a Fantasy thing or rear stateroom thing.
Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and the extended verandah more than made up for the vibration and low headroom in the shower. |

Notes: Great room. Actually Category 4E extended veranda. we had the connecting room (the flag room) 6192. which was even greater when they opened the door between the verandas. The only thing was when docking in Nassau the thrusters were very noisy early in the morning ( on both cruises, we also did a B2B). A great room, we had 2 adults and a 7yr old in this room and 2 teens in the connecting room. Another downfall is that ITS THE LAST ROOM ON THE DECK! other than that Id stay there again. |

Notes: Awesome stateroom! Back of the ship. The balcony was a little bigger than our previous balcony in room 6682. We loved this room so much and when we book a cruise now, we specifically ask for this room or a room with a balcony on the back of the boat. We're about to sail on the Fantasy and we're in stateroom 6690. Absolutely awesome room!! |

Notes: This is a stateroom at the very back of the ship with a huge verandah. Loved the location. Connecting door with 6192. Very quiet and the engine vibrations didnt bother us much. Only odd thing is that the aft elevators to deck 11 come out right in the middle of Cabanas restaurant. Very convenient to the kids club and laundry. Would definitely book this room again! |

Notes: We were very happy with this room. It was a little crowded with three adults but the huge verandah made that much easier. The view was wonderful especially on Castaway Cay day. This room sleeps three. There is no pull down bunk. It also connects with 6192. We never heard our neighbors and did not have any problem with noise. The split bath makes it easy for more than one person to get ready. With the large verandah someone always was outside enjoying the view while putting on their makeup or sunscreen so it gave us more room to get ready. The verandah had two lounge chairs, two regular chairs and a small table. There is a large flag that flies when in port but it never bothered us. It can obstruct your view if the wind is blowing right but for us we were in port or on deck on most of the port days so it was never a problem. The vibrations that others have talked about never bothered us. It was only noticeable when going in or out of port. We were always awake by the time it started so it never woke us up. It sounds counterintuitive but a friend who was in the navy told us to prevent nausea always have something in your stomach. We had no problem with nausea in this aft room when we followed that rule. The room is very centrally located. You can easily get to any part of the ship up or down. If you arent afraid of a few flights of stairs you can get anywhere quick but the aft elevators usually are not crowded. It is easy to get to Cabanas and the drink stations. The muster station is in the Tube. Overall we loved this room and would have no problem booking it again. If you have a positive attitude the small flaws about this room are easily overlooked. |

Notes: Our stateroom was still in excellent condition. We continue to love it for the extended balcony and wonderful views. This time, we had two "lounger chairs" and two standard chairs plus a table. Ours was lacking 3 chairs last year. We just find it great to be able to use stairs to a lot of areas, quick elevator service to upper decks. There is a laundry room directly below, so that is convenient for ironing. Continues to be lots of hangers! Rajan was the host and was wonderful. My only complaint is I think DCL is getting stingy on providing the wonderful H20 amenities. We had to ask for more, and he brought us plenty. As for vibrations, the only time we really noticed it was when we pulled into PC but we had to get up early anyway. |

Notes: This room was great. The view was amazing and the VERY large verandah was perfect! The only "noise" we had was when pulling into ports and it was more vibration than noise. It did wake us up each time, but we didn't really mind. We had the adjoining room 6192 and was able to have the verandah door opened which made even more space. This is the verandah that has the flag next to it (when in port), it never bothered us, but was very bad for the room next to us (maybe 6690) as it was waving on their verandah all the time. I would book this room again, but my MIL didn't care for the vibration when docking.

Notes: Excellent size in the balcony. I read the reviews before sailing and was concerned about the vibration in this cabin. I have to say that when sailing the vibration was minimal to not existent and would not have notice had I not read this post, However when the ship was docking and turning I thought we were in an earthquake. The balcony is huge and Badrud was an excellent stateroom attendant. I would definitly book this cabin again as it has a great location and excellent view. The wind blowing in the right direction the flag is not an issue. Only had it in view once while in Nassau when in Cast Cay was not an issue on this trip. |

Notes: As previous reports stated, this is a great room especially for the verandah and views. The verandah measures right about 13'x13' and has more than enough storage space. TONS of hangers were in our closets - so much that we hung t-shirts. We didn't really feel any difference in movement versus mids on the Classics that we've had in the past but that perhaps is just us. My only disappointment was the flag and pole blocking my view of CC while docked. I would probably switch to 6690 just for that, however my BIL liked being on this side b/c we had shade in the afternoon after being in the sun all day. Our stateroom host was Badrud, and he was fairly new but nice. PM me for photos or questions. |

Notes: This room was FANTASTIC especially considering we got it as a free upgrade from an Ocean View to a Veranda! We never noticed any vibrations or noise that bothered us. The hallway back that far on the ship was nice and quiet and we never heard any noise from any public spaces. The veranda was HUGE!!! The view from the stern of the ship was really neat. Nice view of all the ports that the ship backed into. The flag was flapping and blocking our view while in Port Canaveral but they take it down while underway and it was never an issue any other time. We were in this cabin on the 1st of our back to back cruises. We did notice that the cabin is a little more narrow than the other cabin we had for the second cruise but the larger veranda made up for it. Overall I would highly recommend 6190! |

Notes: This room has some great positives and some definite negatives.
THE POSITIVES:
The View: You can't beat the view from the back of the Dream!I've always sailed mid-ship and prefer the view from the back. The Dream almost always backs into ports, so you get a fantastic view of Castaway Cay as you dock. Your family can watch the action as they throw the ropes over to the dock, yell back and forth, and get the ship ready for you to disembark. This aft room is also a fun place to be when you leave a port. You get the last glimpse of Nassau and Castaway Cay.
Huge Verandah:
It's very deep and you have lots of room to move around. It's 2 to 3 times the size of a normal verandah.
Room Condition: The room is in very good shape, nothing broken or worn. Ronald was our stateroom host and he is a delight. He left elaborate towel animals every night.
THE NEGATIVES:
Significant Vibration:
You will notice this vibration. It was the worst on the first night and last night of our 5 day cruise. Most other days and nights it was nonexistent. But when it's there, it's really there. You can sleep through it without much trouble, but don't think I'm just being picky.
Ship Motion:
We noticed this more aft than we have when we sailed mid-ship. I took Bonine twice and had no trouble. My son and husband took nothing. My son did say he needed to leave the room a couple of times and go mid-ship to straighten out his stomach. But he never felt is was bad enough to take a tablet.
OVERALL:
We all felt the view and huge verandah was worth the vibration and motion. |

Notes: Very pleasant room that sleeps 3. I felt there was plenty of storage -- lots of little shelves, drawers, hooks, etc. No pull down bunk bed, but the couch does convert to a bed each night. Love the split bathrooms. Connects to 6192 (also sleeps 3). The verandah is HUGE. Probably at least 10X10 -- and we had them open a side door to 6192 (which has an even bigger verandah.) It was our first cruise so I can't compare to another location on the ship, but we did experience a fair amount of vibration and some engine noise, especially on the first night or when turning. No other noise from the clubs or other staterooms, and it's nice to not have very much traffic in the aft. The only other caution I'd give is that when in port, the flag flown off the back whips around a lot -- can be noisy, fly into the verandah area, and sometimes blocks the view. My kids loved to catch it and throw it back out again (The flag is probably about 20 feet by 20 feet long -- also huge.) So the extremely large verandahs were wonderful, but came with the price of a large flag in your way during port stays (they take it down when sailing). It's more of an issue for room 6192, but it did affect ours a bit. |
