Notes: We had both 6190 and 6192 connecting rooms. I stayed in 6190, but will post a few comments about 6192 in a review of that room as well. The room is itself is pretty much the same as all other DCL verandah rooms that I've stayed in so I'll focus on a few differences. The location is at the back of the ship, which makes access to the adults area on deck 4 as well as AP very easy. It is a longer walk to the lobby, RP and EG. We generally used the aft elevator up to Cabanas on deck 11 for breakfast and to get to the pool. I have to say that I don't really like having to walk thru Cabanas to get to and from the pool and most times walked to midship before going up. The major plus for this room is the extended verandah, which I loved. It comes with 2 loungers and 2 chairs plus a small table. It was nice to be able to lounge and watch the ocean go by, especially for sunsets (for western Caribbean sailings you head east 3 nights in a row so get a great sunset view). The verandah has a large overhang from the deck above so is in shade most of the time. In addition to be connecting doors in the stateroom (to 6192), there were connecting doors on the verandah to each side. It was nice having the outside opening to bounce between verandahs. The vibration in the cabin is quite severe when the ship is backing up. This really only happens during docking, as we back into Jamaica and Castaway Cay. Also turning around when arriving at Port Canaveral at 5:30am was quite a wake-up call. During normal sea times, I didn't notice any additional vibration. The cabin had a small rectangle shower, different from the round ones that I got used to (last 2 cruises were on Magic and Wonder and I forget the configuration on the Dream). The extra length was nice, but there was a definite lack of headroom. I'm 6-2 and could not stand up straight without hitting the ceiling. I do not remember this on other cruises, so I'm not sure if this a Fantasy thing or rear stateroom thing. Overall, we enjoyed the cabin and the extended verandah more than made up for the vibration and low headroom in the shower.

Notes: Here is my shorter review of 6192. We had both 6190 and 6192 connecting rooms. I personally stayed in 6190 (you can search for my review of that) but will post a few comments about 6192 verandah here. The verandah for 6192 is nice and big. There are 2 loungers and 2 chairs along with a small table. It has connecting outside doors to the each cabin next to it (along with an interior connecting door to 6190). What is fun about this cabin is the flagpole extends from it, so when you are ashore you can find your stateroom. The flagpole does impact your view a small bit when it is flying, but it is only flying when in port. One thing I found very helpful is the fact that by being in the middle of the aft, you get a better view to both port and starboard, just being 1 cabin over you don't get this. My wife did say that on one windy day the flapping of the flag was annoying and did wake her up. Just one other thing to mention is the flag is raised and lowered by a crew access from deck 5, so no one is coming into your room to do this.

Notes: Having sailed in an aft on the Carnival Liberty I was really looking forward to this aft room on the Dream. It is the pole room and it has an extra wide verandah. I loved the size of the verandah, but there was a constant smell of fuel when we were underway. (That is the best I can describe it.) It wasn't noticeable when in port. This diminished my enjoyment of the deck area quite a bit. We also pulled into ports quite early in the morning and WOW - there was sure a lot of vibration. Woke us up every time. It wasn't terrible, but there was absolutely no way to sleep through it. So if you get into ports early, be aware. Not sure if other areas experience this as well - they also could have it. The other perks of being aft were there, like great views entering and leaving ports. It is a highly shaded verandah and I liked that. We opened it up to 6190, but it was just a little opening - so it didn't really help expand the roominess - just made it more convenient to access the neighboring verandah. Aft elevators were somewhat less busy. Not much people traffic back there either. Not sure if I would book it again due to the odor when underway - it was nauseating to me. No one else has reported this, so I don't know if it was something unique to our trip.

Notes: THE FLAG ROOM. (dont worry they dont have to come in to lower or raise it) Great room. Great Views we had the connecting room 6190. which was even greater when they opened the door between the verandas. The only thing was when docking in Nassau the thrusters were very noisy early in the morning ( on both cruises, we also did a B2B). A great room, we had 2 adults and a 7yr old in the other room and 2 teens in this connecting room. Another downfall is that ITS THE LAST ROOM ON THE DECK! other than that Id stay there again.

Notes: Loved this room. Would book it again in a heart beat. This was a great room. Loved the huge balcony. It had 2 lounge chairs and 2 regular chairs with a table. Yes, there is a flag pole and a flag will be flying in port. It was awesome to see the flag. Never was in the way. Got some beautiful pics. This is not a noisy cabin. The only noise you hear is if you are docking into or leaving the port. This is not at all unusual. When docking most cabins will here some noise and feel some vibrations. Can't wait to stay in this room again. Truly loved it!

Notes: Was in love with the room. Perfect view when pulling into ports. Verandah was huge!!! Can feel a little more the engines and vibration but the view and the space makes up for it. Would pick this room again.

Notes: This room was great. The view was amazing and the VERY large verandah was perfect! The only "noise" we had was when pulling into ports and it was more vibration than noise. It did wake us up each time, but we didn't really mind. We had the adjoining room 6190 and was able to have the verandah door opened which made even more space. This is the verandah that has the flag on it (when in port), it never bothered us, but was very bad for the room next to us (maybe 6188) as it was waving on their verandah all the time. I would book this room again, but my MIL didn't care for the vibration when docking.

Notes: Great room, huge verandah! A bit noisy when pulling into port. Note that the flag pole is on your verandah and flies when in port. Plenty of room, very clean and spacious. Great view when pulling into Nassau & Castaway Cay!
