Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 6508 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 8D | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 08/24/19 | ||
Notes: We had a family of 3 staying in the room. There was a pull down bed for my 16yo to sleep on which was great. We loved having the couch available to sit on, even in the evenings. We don't spend much time in the room, so I don't need a verandah, but loved the porthole window. However, when the boat was docking we did hear lots of noise from below us. Otherwise, it was fairly quiet. I would get this room again. |

Notes: Sleeps 4 (murphy bed and couch, but no drop down bunk bed). Great shape and a nice big porthole. You did hear some weird thumps and bumps from below (metal on metal), and the vibrations from the bow thrusters shake the room, but I would take this room again in a heartbeat. Across the hall from laundry and not a lot of traffic in this area. Short jaunt to the forward elevators. |
Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6508 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 11A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 03/02/15 | ||
Notes: Had a great view and very comfortable sleeping spot on the porthole. Did not have a pull down bed but instead had a bed that came down from the wall not the ceiling. Did not feel cramped. Close the the front of the ship, so had to walk a ways to get to the stairs or elevator. This room is great for younger kids because it does not have the bunk bed, and it's further away for kids who need quiet naptime. |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6508 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 05/19/14 | ||
Notes: The only real negative was that the large porthole was partially blocked by some sort of external movable platform used for ships maintenance. Room was clean and everything worked. No noise issues to report. |

Notes: Very quiet location all the way forward. The laundry room is described as being 'across' from this stateroom, but is actually back to the left and not directly across the hall. We did not experience any extra noise due to the laundry room, and in fact it was quite handy being that close. Lots of walking with this room. It's a long ways to any aft location but manageable. Very close to vibe which is a deck or two down for a teenager. This cabin is long and narrow so a bit cramped in the viewing area when the sofa bed and pull-down bed is in place (not bunks). Good view to the outside with a slight obstruction (overhang) trying to look forward toward the bow. We enjoyed this cabin quite well and would choose it again. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6508 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 8 | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 05/15/10 | ||
Notes: We thought this was a great room. It's close enough to the Forward elevators so we were able to quickly get upstairs to take pictures when pulling into port. We didn't experience any additional movement even though the ship was seriously rocky the first couple days as we were moving from Barcelona to Malta and Tunisa. I received a rather large bruise while walking down the hallway and the ship shifted but the room seem to have ess movement. It never bothered us but you can hear the docking equipment, maybe the anchor being dropped so it was an alarm clock for us. We didn't mind as we took some great pictures of the ports which we would have otherwise missed. |

Notes: Great room. You could hear hallway noise but that was it. |

Notes: This room was slightly smaller than the mid ship stateroom with a verandah we had on the Wonder. We had our host remove the coffee table so we would have more room to move around. We did not have a steamer trunk for clothing storage, which we missed. We felt quite a lot of movement at times and with the bed facing backwards from the direction we were going, I felt queasy at times. It was rather quiet and not a lot of foot traffic came by. It was a hike to get to the pools and restaurants. Next cruise we are going back to mid ship with a verandah! |
