Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6554 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5B | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 01/02/14 | ||
Notes: A strange thumping mechanical/pipe noise strong enough to shake the bed started our second night and persisted for several hours. We were moved to a different stateroom because they were unable to determine the cause of the noise or if it would stop. See reviews for 6558 as it appears this may be a problem in multiple staterooms in this area of the ship. |
Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6554 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 08/19/12 | ||
Notes: This room is located directly above the first forward life boat on the starboard side. The location is great for access to all main areas and we didn't feel much motion. It's one of the smaller verandah rooms, but was fine for myself, DH and DD8. The queen bed was a dream to sleep in and the pull out sofa was sufficient. Loved the split bath! Fridge worked well, we had ample storage space and a great view at CC! The only negative for us is that you are right above the Buena Vista Theatre and felt like you were in whatever movie was playing at all hours. We use a sound machine and I sleep with ear plugs and was still kept up by the noise and vibration. Wouldn't hesitiate to stay in this room type again, but would suggest considering another location unless you sleep like the dead. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6554 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 5B | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 06/28/11 | ||
Notes: This room is only three rooms down from elevator but we could not hear any hallway noise. However, room has an interior door to a connecting stateroom and we could hear their conversations easily, often late into the night. Would recommend booking a room without a connecting stateroom door. Also, not enough storage for two adults and two teenagers. Views were fabulous from the verandah. |
Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6554 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 09/28/08 | ||
Notes: We loved the location of this room! It was around the corner from the mid-ship elevators and very easy to access. Deck 6 is a great location for quick stairway access to everything else on the upper and lower decks. It is a connecting room so we could occasionally hear the people next to us in their room but never to the point where it was bothersome or interfering, otherwise extremely quiet. It was starboard side so great for seeing everything as left port and as we docked in CC. We would definately get this room again! |

Notes: The room was great. Great location next to midship elevators. Room not noisy at all. We were on a Med cruise and the balcony was great when we pulled into port. |

Notes: Great room location, right near midship elevators - connecting cabin. Plenty of room in our cabin and not noisy at all! We loved it! |

Notes: Noisy room. Apparently this room is directly above a crew fire door on deck 5. And this door also has a screen door (that's what I was told, don't quite understand). Anyway, screen door sqeaks and door slams shut very loadly. We complained for the first 3 nights of our 14 day cruise and they finally did something to lessen the noise. I could still hear it but luckily it didn't keep me awake. Hopefully they will fix during drydock in Oct. Location of room is great, right by elevators, mid ship. |

Notes: Starboard side. Connects to room 6552. Good location mid-ship. Needed some paint on the walls in a couple of places. Great view of Castaway Cay. The starboard side makes for a poor view of St. Maarten harbor. |
